The trio was frozen in place. Their bodies refused to move, intimidated by the dragon's overwhelming aura.
"I'll ask again," the dragon repeated. "Who are you?"
Suddenly, the sound of a footstep echoed in the room, and a stern voice struck through the dorm, like a sword cutting through paper.
"That's enough, Scephyr."
The small dragon turned its long neck, its white scales shining. "Are they friends of yours?"
"Partners for a project." Zephyr replied, his voice stern. "Release your skill."
Suddenly, the purple mist-like aura vanished, leaving the students suffocating on their knees.
"What skill was that?" Roy gasped for air, grabbing his neck.
"[Intimidation]. It's pretty useful to get Intel." Scephyr answered as it gave a flap of its wings.
It landed on Zephyr's shoulders and laid its head around his neck.
"What is that?" Amber asked, trying to stand up.
"My familiar, Scephyr." Zephyr answered. "I thought you might even seen him at the welcoming ceremony."
"I thought it was just a rumour." Roy said, standing up from the ground. "Guess I was wrong."
"What's its rank?" Clara asked, eyeing the dragon.
"Don't know."
Clara let out a sigh. She looked at the dragon once again as her eyes began taking on a green glow.
"[Elven eyes]!" She chanted.
In front of her, a status screen appeared.
