Sara asked Jackup, "Brother, can I ask you something?"
He said, "Yes, go ahead."
Sara asked, "That girl Rose… do you like her?"
Jackup stayed silent for a while. He couldn't say anything.
"Who said that to you?" he finally asked hesitantly.
"No one," Sara replied, "I was just asking."
"What kind of useless questions come to your mind?" Jackup scolded her a little and left the place.
Something was definitely bothering him.
Sara said softly, "Jackup is acting strange," and then went to her room.
Just then, Jackup got a call.
"Yes, speak," he said as he picked up.
The voice on the other end said, "The man who harassed Ms. Rose — his location shows he's at the airport. He's leaving the country today. This could be part of Advein's plan. I'm sending you the location; reach there quickly, and make sure he doesn't realize you're following him."
Jackup replied firmly, "Alright."
The caller added, "His flight is around 10 o'clock, and it's 9 right now. You can still catch him — this is a good chance."
Jackup quickly grabbed his room keys and rushed out.
Sara was sitting on the sofa watching TV, but he left so fast she didn't even get a chance to say anything.
Jackup drove his car at full speed toward the airport. It was supposed to be a half-hour drive, but with the speed he was going, he reached in just 20 minutes.
He started looking around carefully. Then he remembered — he hadn't clearly seen the driver's face. He call Han for the suspect's picture . He sent Jackup the suspect's picture. When Jackup saw it, he realized the same man was sitting right in front of him.
He immediately messaged Han that he had found the target and started walking toward the man. But the man noticed Jackup coming and quickly got up to run.
Jackup chased after him. The man ran straight toward the plane and got inside. There were only ten minutes left before takeoff. Jackup rushed toward the plane, but the security stopped him from going any further.
Before he could do anything, the plane took off into the sky. Jackup just stood there watching helplessly as it disappeared.
He went back to his car, sat inside, and started driving home. While driving, he kept thinking about what had just happened.
Then, as he passed by a park, his eyes caught sight of a girl sitting alone on a bench, crying softly.
He stopped his car and walked toward her. In his hand was a handkerchief — he gently offered it to her.
When the girl looked up, he was shocked — it was Rose.
She first looked at the handkerchief, then at Jackup.
She asked quietly, "What are you doing here?"
Rose looked down for a moment, then quickly stood up and said something softly.
Jackup didn't answer her question; instead, he just looked at her.
Rose took the handkerchief and began wiping her tears.
Then she said, "Now it's my turn to ask you something…"
Jackup asked Rose, "What are you doing here?"
Rose replied quietly, "I'm not doing anything… I was just about to go home."
As she turned to leave, Jackup gently held her hand and pulled her closer.
"If someone has said something to you or hurt you," he said seriously, "you can tell me. I'll make that person regret ever making you cry."
Jackup's tone had become firm and sincere.
Rose looked at him and said, "And who are you to say that? What's your relation to me?" she asked, slightly angrily.
"What do you mean, 'what relation'? I already told you before—I like you," Jackup replied.
"Oh really?" Rose said with sarcasm. "How many girls have you told this to before?"
Jackup looked surprised. "What do you mean, how many girls? I've never said this to anyone before—you're the first."
Rose gave a faint smile and said, "So, you even know how to lie now."
Jackup asked, "Wait—what are you trying to say?"
Rose looked at him sharply and said, "Your expressions… are you hinting toward someone—Sara, maybe?"
Jackup looked directly at her and said, "And if I say yes?"
Rose frowned. "Then if I ask why you said that about her, what will your answer be?"
Jackup sighed. "So that's what this is about. You're jealous of my sister?"
Rose's eyes widened. "Sister? What did you just say?"
Jackup laughed softly. "Yes, Sara—she's my sister."
Rose looked confused. "Why are you laughing so quietly?"
Jackup smirked slightly. "Because the misunderstanding you had—thinking you were jealous—it was just that… a simple misunderstanding," he said teasingly.
Rose tried to hide from there and started leaving. Jackup pulled her towards him. Now Rose's face was very close to Jackup's face. "So what's your answer now?" Jackup asked. Rose remained silent. "You're my girlfriend, and my sister's not, which means you like me, don't you?" he said. "Leave me alone," Jackup said. Jackup's hand was on Rose's waist, and Jackup pulled her towards him. Rose tried to get away, but Jackup took her closer to him. Their eyes met. Jackup started coming closer to Rose. Suddenly, their lips met. Jackup kissed Rose, and they were lost in each other. Rose had no idea what was happening. Then suddenly, a voice came from Rose's phone, and it was her mom, Hellin's, call. Rose suddenly backed away. She saw that she hadn't answered the call. "Okay, I should leave now," she said to Jackup. She started to leave. She didn't want to go home, she wanted to go to a hotel. So she started to leave. Jackup said, "I'll drop you off." "No, I'll go by myself," Rose replied. "No, I'll drop you off," Jackup said and grabbed Rose's hand and put her in the car. "I said I'll go by myself," she said. Jackup didn't listen to her. "Okay, I'll drop you off at Lucy's flat," he said.
