Sunlight spilled through the massive windows of our apartment, casting golden beams across the sleek flooring. The skyline of Davao stretched beyond the glass, buzzing with anticipation. The entire city felt it — today wasn't just another day.

I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the collar of my dark jacket, slipping on a pair of black gloves that matched the tone of subtle authority I preferred. I tapped the mask clipped to my belt — the Faceless Cloak — just in case I needed it.
Behind me, Noel emerged from his room, his outfit simple but clean, a rare sense of excitement visible on his face.
"Hard to believe," he muttered as he rubbed his eyes. "We're going to the Rift Market. The real one."
"We deserve a look," I replied calmly. "Especially now."
He raised a brow. "Even if people from the Astral Community are gonna be swarming it?"
