Chapter 10 - Full Room

Two women stood before Lucas, and he wasn't sure if he was about to experience the greatest moment of his life… or die from how hard his heart was pounding.

The first one was already enough of a handful.

Lilith Sinclair.

The kind of woman that could walk past your entire existence and make you question your worth as a human being — not because she was cruel, no, but because her beauty was just that unreasonable. Long midnight hair, ruby eyes, skin that looked dipped in moonlight, and a black lace dress that made every part of her stand out just right.

She smiled at him like the devil who'd finally caught up with a long-lost sinner.

"I only just got back from the Nightosphere. Important meeting. But it seems I got here at the perfect time… how fortunate."

That smooth, vaguely amused voice of hers never failed to impress.

Still, Lucas had no idea what she meant by that.

He nodded like an NPC in a visual novel.

"Aha… is that so?"

He forced a swallow, and just as he was about to give a barely cooked reply, something shifted behind her.

His eyes drifted… and froze.

There was another woman standing just behind Lilith.

And this one—this one made his brain do a full restart.

Bronze skin that had the faint glow of a summer dawn, like Mira's but even more unreal. Short, messy blonde hair that covered one blue eye, and those eyes… those eyes. One calm, ocean-blue iris stared into him like it already knew all the stupid thoughts he was thinking. The kind of eyes that didn't just look at you — they searched you.

He nearly gasped. That was Lucy Codreanu.

『Senior Lucy is here──?!』

The girl who single-handedly created a generation of submissive boys in her second year just by being casually cruel and devastatingly beautiful.

The school's idol. The European legend.

The reason half the school's boys smiled while being kicked in the gut by their female classmates.

Some argued she was more beautiful than Lilith.

Others chose to simply worship them both.

Lucas couldn't even form a preference — staring at either of them for too long made him feel like he was being pulled apart at the soul.

『Waaaw~ what a confidence booster. If Lilith is the school's goddess then Lucy is the goddess's mischievous older sister who tells you to kneel just for fun…』

He smiled to himself.

『Can you imagine getting bullied by Lucy? Her calling you "pathetic" but with that same soft, unreadable voice? God… it should've been me… IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME!』

"… Huh?"

Lilith blinked.

Lucy tilted her head, curious.

Lucas realized his expression must've twisted into something terrible. He immediately shook his head like he was trying to fling thoughts out through his ears.

"Aha~ don't mind me! Just… zoning out! Bit of a headache, you know, from being suddenly flanked by the school's two final bosses."

He swallowed again. It hurt.

"So uh, you wanted me to help with your dress, President? Right? That's why I'm here?"

It surely wasn't the reason she asked him to come, but to him, it might as well have been the most important thing.

Lilith opened her mouth, but before she could speak, two delicate hands slid onto Lucas's shoulders.

He stiffened.

They were gentle, slender hands, with nails like polished glass. A warm, heady scent filled his nose — something like honey, vanilla… and a bit of danger.

Lucy.

She leaned in until he could feel her breath on his ear, and then… she didn't speak right away.

Instead, she sniffed him.

Actually sniffed him.

Lucas's entire body nearly shut down.

Then her soft, airy voice purred against his skin.

"I just wanted a closer look at my junior… or is that…"

She brushed her nose along his neck.

"… inappropriate?"

Lucas stared forward like a man in the middle of a nuclear fallout drill. He didn't dare turn his head, because if he did, he might combust on the spot.

Lucy's voice was lethal — always hovering in that sensual ASMR frequency that made even the male teachers shift uncomfortably behind their desks. It was so soft, so silky, so wrong that it left you with intrusive thoughts you could never confess to a priest.

"… Ahem!"

Lilith cleared her throat gently.

Her face looked playful but also stern.

"Alright, enough playing around. Meredith, please get us some tea. Anabelle, bring biscuits."

Meredith gave her usual wordless bow.

Anabelle saluted like she was given a combat mission.

"GOT IT!"

The two maids exited.

Some awkward minutes passed.

Now Lucas sat on the sofa, rigid as a mannequin.

The lounge was beautiful, wide and lit with a nice hue, but Lucas couldn't appreciate any of that. He just kept glancing around like a confused tourist at an art gallery — but every piece of art was trying to seduce him.

Finally, Meredith re-entered, placed a cup of tea in his hands and offered him a delicate smile.

"Enjoy~" she said in that hollow, elegant voice of hers.

Lucas took a sip. "Ahh… that's good."

Meredith gently closed her eyes.

"Ufufu~ thank you very much."

Now, the three of them — Lilith, Lucy, and Lucas — sat in a triangle around the center table.

The two maids stood behind Lilith like loyal shadows.

And… they were all looking at him.

Lucas tried not to panic.

Lilith's smile was calm, elegant.

Meredith looked at him with that unreadable stare, like she was seeing through his clothes and also wondering if she should bother commenting on what she saw.

It felt a little uncomfortable.

Except maybe for the way Lucy looked at him.

But then again, she stared at everyone like she wasn't really there. She's the kind of woman who's dangerous to fall for—you can never be sure if she actually loves you or if she's just trying to entertain herself with your feelings.

Now that he thought about it, her stare was the most unsettling part of all.

『Sigh~ fuck this…』

The silence stretched.

Lucas cleared his throat. "Uhm… what's going on?"

Lilith's smile widened just a little.

Lucy blinked slowly, like a cat watching a cornered mouse.

Lilith leaned forward slightly, resting her chin on her fingers.

"Well, we were just talking… about you."

Lucas felt his heart do a somersault. "Me?"

Without breaking eye contact, Lucy reached forward and plucked a sugar cube from the table, slowly popped it into her mouth, and sucked on it like she was trying to kill him with a metaphor.

"You're… interesting."

She said quietly, voice barely a breath.

"A little stupid. But… interesting."

Lucas laughed nervously.

"Ahaha, well, you know… I try."

However, what was on his mind was entirely different.

『I wish I was that sugar cube right now!』

Lilith's smile turned into something sharper.

"So, Lucas. Do you know why we really called you here?"

"… N-, Not for dress help?"

Lucy gave a small smirk.

Lilith stood up and walked over to his side, gently brushing a stray hair from his forehead.

"No…"

She said softly.

"We wanted to tell you something important…"

She was talking, but Lucas wasn't really listening.

All he could focus on was how she leaned in close, right in front of him, and how her breasts bounced as she moved. Either she wasn't wearing a bra, or they were just that perfect—soft, full, and moving freely enough that he could even make out the outline of her nipples.

His eyes stayed locked on her squeezable melons.

"95 centimeters…" he muttered under his breath.

Then his gaze dropped to her waist.

"58 centimeters…"

And finally, his eyes landed on her wide, curvy hips, which stuck out even more because of the way she was leaning.

"A fantastic 90 centimeters…"

Lilith raised an eyebrow, clearly confused.

"Hm?" she said, tilting her head slightly.

Lucy was the first to catch on. She didn't say much — just plucked another sugar cube, pressed it against her wet tongue, and started sucking on it slowly, like she was hungry for something else entirely.

"Fufu~ he really did that… bold."

Her blue eyes narrowed at Lucas.

She had a strong urge to discipline him herself.

But it wasn't her place.

However, Meredith didn't hold back.

She was clearly disgusted with how Lucas couldn't seem to focus on anything but their bodies. It might've been okay if he acted like that around her—after all, she was just a lowly servant—but to look at Lady Lilith that way? Unforgivable.

"How dare you look at the lady like that…?"

She spoke calmly and sternly as she stepped forward.

Before she could get any closer, Lilith raised a hand and calmly said—

"And how dare you speak to the Blood King like that, Meredith? I would've expected better manners from my Head Maid."

Meredith instantly bowed her head.

"I… I apologize, my lady. It's just—"

"Enough. Be silent."

Lilith gave her a sharp, warning look.

Lucas could tell things were getting tense, so he quickly held up a hand.

"Uhm, no, that was kind of my faul—"

"Not in the slightest."

Lilith interrupted.

"If the Blood King wishes to look at someone however he pleases, then it's allowed."

"Wait, what…?" Lucas blinked, totally confused.

Lilith was now standing tall, hands resting confidently on her wide hips.

There was a mildly amused smile on her face.

"I'll get straight to the point. You might not have fully acknowledged it yet, but we're all vampires here — and you, Lucas, are the tenth Blood King of the Crimson Line."
