Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

NARRATED BY A WOMAN IN HER SWEET, CALM VOICE

Earth... a planet with many names and versions of each, inhabiting that world, such as:

Earth, whose name is found in the Bible and belongs to the Biblical God.

Planet Earth, whose names mortals and scientists have been able to gather detailed information about the past of planet Earth through science, physics, etc.

Gaea or Gaia, the goddess of Greek mythology.

Geb, the god of Egyptian mythology.

Tlaltecuhtli, the goddess of Aztec mythology.

Ninhursag and Kishar, the goddesses of Mesopotamian mythology.

Tellus, the goddess of Roman mythology.

Njörd, the god of Norse mythology.

And many more names can be found in each of the pantheons or factions that inhabit the Earth.

Although Earth is a world of incomparable beauty, where peace and harmony could reign... if not for the self-destructive nature of its mortals. These beings, obsessed with their absurd political ideologies, do nothing but sow conflict between neighboring nations, allies, or enemies... corrupting the potential of their own planet.

For us, their disputes are of no importance. Whether they are left, center, or right, their political divisions are irrelevant. What we truly value are the treasures this world offers: its breathtaking landscapes, its rich cultures, ancient traditions, fascinating histories, and exquisite flavors.

Some mortals, the most perceptive, sense our presence. They call us goddesses, demigoddesses, guardians, or even angels and demons, depending on their beliefs. We remain hidden in their most iconic cities, watching... waiting... As long as there is relative peace, we will maintain our silence. But this calm is fragile... and temporary.

???: *Deep sigh*…. I wish you were in our world ???, we all miss you... and when that day comes, I know you will free us from these worlds ruled by the Shadows of the past.

The silence stretches for several minutes before I shake my head.

???: Enough with the useless thoughts... I must concentrate on Mibeisia. *I observe the floating screens* Maybe later I can afford a long vacation... to visit those beautiful landscapes I love so much on Earth.

But first... I need to fully understand the situation in Mibeisia. How long have they held out against the Shadows?

TIME SKIP 4 HOURS LATER

I watched my world through a 75-inch holoprojector, suspended in the air, displaying 3D maps of Mibeisia in real time. Until what I saw, it chilled my blood… My world, the one I had created myself, was crumbling before my eyes. The Supreme Goddess had personally entrusted me with the mission of observing and reporting everything that was happening, but I never imagined I would witness something so terrible. I saw the shadows gradually expanding… and the worst part was that they weren't acting alone. They were accompanied by:

7 Shadow Generals

5 Shadow Beasts

And worst of all… and also one of the hardest to defeat… 1 Shadow Lord, an entity so powerful that its mere presence can chill the blood of anyone standing in front of it.

It was clear they were getting closer and closer to achieving their goal.

???: *Big sigh*…

And that was the reason I wanted to avoid those evil beings… so they wouldn't conquer my world, Mibeisia, the one I myself created. I had no more options left: I had to break that damned "rule". They could demote me from a major goddess to a minor one, punish me, strip me of my powers, or seal them away… but none of that mattered anymore. If I needed to use my abilities or resort to forbidden means to save the warriors from extinction—or worse, being devoured by them—I would do it. My actions might affect the other goddesses, but I was willing to make the sacrifice.

But the only way to defeat the Shadows would be:

Perform the summoning ritual in Mibeisia.

Locate ??? on Earth.

Transport him to my world using a magical item.

And finally… turn him into a Summoner, capable of summoning Maidens.

Everything was planned. All that remained was to select the right Maidens to protect him… so he wouldn't be attacked… or killed… by the Shadows.

???: *I looked at the secondary screen where unfamiliar images and names were projected*…

To my right, another screen displayed a list of possible candidates: humans who could aid in battles, protect him, and guide him in our world. In addition, I needed to give him that "device", the tool that would allow him to summon more warriors and exterminate those abominations.

???: And now what I was missing was the magical item… Without that, I can't bring him to my world. *As if the spark plugin my head of that certain person lit up* That girl! My former Summoner, The one who spent her entire salary on gachas game... *A shiver runs down my spine as I remember her gachas game addiction* ...She has it, the item from the summoning ritual.

I was so deep in thought, tracking down the whereabouts of my crazy former Summoner and that damn magic item until... Someone called my name!

???: Pheona!

Pheona: *I turn around with a warm smile* Hey, Rira. How are you?

Rira: Everything's fine, and you? *She smiles back, but her eyes are examining my expression*.

Pheona: *I let out a sigh* Honestly... not as good as usual...

Rira: That sigh... *Crosses her arms* Something tells me this is about the Shadows... or is it about him?

Pheona: *I lower my gaze* ...Both, Rira. Both.

I took a deep breath before continuing, looking directly into her eyes.

Pheona: And that's why... I need your help. Not as a Goddess from another world, nor as a warrior... *my voice trembled slightly* I'm asking you as your best friend.

She immediately turned serious, those eyes knowing me all too well.

Rira: Pheona... *extended her hand to my shoulder* I know exactly what you're thinking. And no, what happened in that war wasn't your fault. We got carried away by the pride of our Summoners, by proving who was the strongest... *sighed* What happened 20 years ago is over. There's no going back.

Then she gave me that smile of hers.

Rira: You have to let go of the past, Pheona.

I felt like someone had turned on a light inside my chest. Every time Rira smiled like that, all my doubts evaporated, replaced by a strange calm.

Pheona: *I smiled back, this time genuinely* That's why I want to tell you my plan, Rira. *I lowered my voice* I need you to help me with this... and not tell anyone.

Rira: Don't worry, my friend. *She made a knowing gesture with her fingers, as if sealing invisible lips* "tu secreto estará guardado hasta la tumba/Your secret will be kept until the grave," as those mortals from Latin America I like so much say. *She leaned toward me, sparks of curiosity dancing in her eyes* But now tell me... what is this brilliant plan of yours?

Hehehe... Rira has always been like this, as kind as she is curious. Without hesitation, I revealed all the details of my plan and the critical situation in Mibeisia.

At first, Rira was hesitant about breaking that "rule" and told me that there would be many consequences for our roles as goddesses. But I also explained my other plan: to bring ??? to our world through a summoning ritual. Without a second thought, she accepted... But on the condition that we wouldn't send him to an area with Shadows.

In addition, she promised to send some of her best warriors to:

1. Protect the Summoner.

2. Help him adapt.

3. Explain how our world works.

Maybe... just maybe... he'll decide to stay with us...

No, better yet:

Let him stay forever.
