The morning sun streamed through the windows of the Tokyo Wolves academy lounge, casting long beams across the room. The players were spread out with some sitting on the couch, others standing, but all carried the same heavy silence. Haruma sat quietly on a couch, his gaze fixed forward, his eyes empty of expression.
Just then, the door creaked open and Minato-sensei entered with Raon at his side, immediately drawing every gaze in the room.
Haruma and the others rose to their feet at once, their eyes fixed firmly on them.
Minato-sensei moved to the front, letting out a quiet sigh before lifting his eyes to meet theirs.
"Later this evening," he said steadily, "Kurogami will be leaving the city to attend his brother's funeral in their hometown."
The news struck hard, and sorrow spread through the players. Haruma lowered his eyes, rubbing his forehead with a heavy hand.
Minato sensei exhaled, looking down for a moment before fixing his gaze on one player… Raya.
