Chapter 22 - The Blade of the Universe

After hearing Lexus's full backstory, Ken stood in silence. The pain, the loss, the unimaginable past—he had finally understood. Even the mightiest beings carry scars that the world never sees. Behind strength often lies suffering.

With his usual powerful, composed voice, Lexus looked at Ken and said,

"Now go. The Legendary Sword of the Universe awaits you."

Ken nodded, his eyes burning with resolve. He walked toward the divine chamber—a place glowing with celestial energy. As he opened the great door, a blinding light engulfed the room.

There, floating in mid-air, was the Sword of the Universe—surrounded by radiant, protective energy. Waves of immense power poured out of it, causing Ken's elemental ring to glow wildly.

Both the ring and the sword—connected by fate—had begun reacting to each other's presence. The surge was so intense that Ken quickly whispered to the ring,

"Control your energy... if too much power is released, the Dark Dragon will sense it. Even if he can't reach Infinity, it could still create trouble."

Obeying its master, the ring dimmed its glow and stabilized. Ken reached out and took the sword.

A sudden rush of energy pulsed through his entire body. He could feel its power… divine, ancient, limitless.

"This sword…" Ken muttered, examining it, "It's not too long… not too short. It adjusts to its wielder."

Then he tried to channel his elemental powers through it. To his surprise, the sword reacted instantly—its form and aura shifted with his thoughts. It could merge multiple elements at once, even optimize its form based on the situation.

The ring's voice echoed:

"This sword isn't just for offense. It enhances your speed, allows you to store it in a different dimension, and can be summoned like Lexus's blade. It's your partner now."

Ken stepped out, holding the sword with pride. He walked back to Lexus and said with determination,

"Now, I have only one mission left—defeating that evil dragon who brought chaos to the realms. I'll stop him."

Lexus nodded.

"I believe you will. But… do you think your mortal body can truly handle both the ring and the sword together? Their power will multiply beyond measure—and you'll be facing a beast like no other."

Ken, filled with confidence, smirked.

"I just defeated the Hero of Swords—you. Of course I can handle it."

Lexus raised an eyebrow.

"How pathetic. Overconfidence doesn't suit a child. Very well—if you truly believe you're ready, fight me again. This time, use both the ring and the sword. If you can even land a single strike, I'll consider you prepared. If not… think again before facing that monster."

Without warning, the battle began.

But it ended just as quickly.

Ken didn't land a single blow. Lexus overwhelmed him effortlessly.

Lying on the ground, beaten and breathless, Ken stared in disbelief.

"He... he crushed me in an instant. This whole time… he was holding back. He never showed his full power when I was only using my elements. If I had come here with the sword first… maybe things would've been different. But still…"

Ken stood up and looked at Lexus with renewed respect.

"Your skill with the sword is beyond imagination. You're on a whole different level. Will you fight alongside me? We can defeat the Dark Dragon together!"

Lexus shook his head.

"This is your battle, Ken. I will help you grow stronger and defeat his army, but the final fight… that's yours. I will train you. I'll help you master the blade."

Ken agreed.

And so, the training began.

Lexus passed down secret sword techniques—ancient forms that no mortal had ever seen. Day after day, Ken honed his skill, combining the power of the sword with the energy of the ring. He grew faster, stronger, and sharper than ever before.

As their training came to an end, Lexus handed Ken a small device.

"This is a summoning button. Use it if you ever need me. No matter where you are, I'll hear your call."

Then Lexus asked,

"So, what will you do now?"

Ken's eyes lit up with a fire of purpose.

"I have a promise to keep."

He left Infinity and traveled to the Land of Fire, where he met the Fire Dragon—and brought it with him. Then to Water, Earth, and Wind—gathering all four corrupted dragons once again.

Returning to Infinity, Ken stood tall before Lexus and said,

"This was the promise I made—to cure them."

He placed the four dragons before him and turned to the ring.

"Now… with purity in my heart, I call upon the power of the elements."

He raised the sword, and the ring shone with divine light.

"By the bond of ring and sword, I summon the Divine Dragon!"

A radiant being emerged from the sky—a creature of pure light and goodness. Its energy was so pure, even darkness trembled.

The Divine Dragon unleashed a wave of purifying light, and one by one, the four dragons were freed from their corrupted forms. Their eyes turned soft, their hearts restored.

Ken, calmly, said:

"As promised… I've cured you."

All four dragons bowed deeply to Ken, recognizing him not as a boy, but as a true warrior.

The Earth Dragon stepped forward and gave Ken a Dragon Stone.

"Use this when you need us. Wherever you are, we'll come."

Lexus looked at Ken, proud yet calm.

"You've come far. It's time. I'll teleport you back to Earth."

In a flash, Ken returned—not as a mere mortal, but as a warrior who had mastered the divine sword, the elemental ring, and the respect of dragons.

Back on Earth, Ken stood quietly and said to Lexus,

"I'm going to defeat that dragon. But before that… one person still needs to arrive. We need a plan."

Lexus nodded and disappeared.

A new portal opened.

And through it… stepped a figure who would change everything.
