Chapter 14 - The Winds of Will

As Ken journeyed ever closer to Infinity—the sacred realm where the Sword of the Universe awaited—he arrived at the final of the four elemental lands. Each land had tested not just his strength, but his spirit. And now, with the wisdom passed down by the elemental ring, Ken understood something profound:

Power was not given.

It was willed into being.

The ring had taught him that the form his will took shaped the power he could wield. Water had taught him flow. Fire had taught him passion. Earth had taught him endurance. Now, it was time to embrace wind—the unseen, the unpredictable, the ever-moving.

He closed his eyes.

The wind didn't speak in words—it whispered in freedom.

Ken breathed it in. And his will moved.

He entered the Lands of Nowhere, a realm stranger than any before. The very air shifted around him. The creatures here were different—not just stronger, but smarter, faster, and more savage. They didn't attack blindly; they hunted. The closer Ken moved toward Infinity, the more reality itself seemed to resist him.

But his will—now sharpened by the element of wind—cut through it all.

One by one, he struck down the beasts, his movements fluid and fierce. Every blow was a lesson. Every enemy a stepping stone. The wind didn't carry him—it became him.

Eventually, the chaotic storm gave way to silence.

Ken stepped into the Land of Wind.

Instantly, he felt it—a vast, howling aura, swirling around him. It was stronger than the Fire and Water Dragons—but not as heavy as Earth. Then, suddenly, it grew—expanding like a hurricane, pressing against his chest. Just sensing it was enough to stagger him.

Then, the sky cracked.

A cyclone erupted above, and from within it descended a majestic figure cloaked in storm—the Wind Dragon.

His wings spread wide, crackling with lightning. His scales shimmered like glass touched by rain. Every flap of his wings reshaped the clouds. His voice rolled in like thunder.

> "Human... I know why you have come. The Sword of the Universe. Your journey nears its end. But before you step closer... I must ask—do you truly understand what you're trying to save?"

Ken looked up, calm and steady.

> "I don't know everything yet," he said, his voice filled with unshakable hope. "But I know this—I'll help you. I'll help all of you. I will heal the darkness that has consumed the dragons. I promise."

The Wind Dragon narrowed his glowing eyes... then nodded.

> "Then listen. I do not know the true creator of this realm... but I have seen the one who twisted it. The Lands of Nowhere were born from shadows. A being—neither dragon nor god—used dark energy to forge this rift. He serves the Dark Dragon, and when their army attacked... our unity was shattered.

> "While the others fled to the Lands of Earth, my realm was left exposed. I came too late. When I arrived… my dragon brothers were already falling, one by one.

> "I fought until my wings bled and my voice roared dry. But even we dragons can fall. Earth Dragon was the only one still resisting—on his knees, barely breathing. And then… I saw him."

The Wind Dragon's voice turned low.

> "A shadowed figure, cloaked in a void. He carried a staff... forged from broken stars. I don't know what he was creating, only that the air itself changed. The four lands—once united—were torn apart. This place... was born."

Ken's fist clenched.

> "So this was never just a trial. It was a trap... built by the dark."

The Wind Dragon continued, his voice now softer.

> "But even separated, we dragons remained connected. Through soul and spirit. I know you've sealed three of my brothers already. Their pain is fading. But now... to move forward… you must face me."

Ken nodded slowly, stepping forward as the wind began to swirl around him.

> "Then let this battle decide. Not just if I'm worthy—but if hope is still alive."

The sky screamed.

The wind rose.

And the final battle before Infinity began.
