Su Wan: "If he never passed, how was he still a top student?"
Yao Ye: "…Then why did you accept his confession?"
Xu Chengyang shrugged, "That's why you're still so naive. With such good looks in front of you, how could you pass up the chance for some flirtation!"
Su Wan sighed deeply, "The Buddha said, form is emptiness, emptiness is form, form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form."
Xu Chengyang lifted his eyelids and glanced at her, his tone indifferent, "…Wanwan, do you know what it means to not expose someone's hardships?"
Su Wan: "…"
Yao Ye: "…"
In recent days, due to the recommendation of the department chair of the orchestral section, Su Wan got a chance for a symphony audition. This orchestra was founded in Germany five years ago and has held several large performances at famous theaters such as Vienna, Champs Elysees, and Munich. Recently, they've been planning tours across Asia and are currently recruiting a few domestic members. The orchestra belongs to an international company, Endless, and has a somewhat tricky name — H&Y Hengyan Symphony Orchestra.
The appointment with the orchestra manager was set for ten o'clock. To avoid being late due to traffic and making a bad impression, Su Wan left home early.
The first meeting went smoothly. The manager simply asked for some basic information and then asked her to prepare two pieces for a second audition the same time next week, to decide if she would be accepted.
"Ding" sounded as the elevator arrived on the first floor. The door slowly opened, and after taking just a few steps out, Su Wan froze upon seeing a figure not far away.
"Miss Su." The person walked straight towards her.
Su Wan frowned in displeasure and took two steps back, "Sir, do you still have something?"
Earlier this morning, as she left her dormitory, this inexplicable man blocked her with a bouquet of roses. Su Wan never paid attention to insignificant people around her, so naturally, she didn't know who this man was, nor did she need to know.
The morning breeze slightly lifted her ink-black long hair, and her delicate and charming appearance resembled an exquisite orchid. The man's heart skipped a beat, eagerly stepping forward to offer the bouquet, "Miss Su, don't you remember me? We met at the wedding a few days ago; I was the emcee."
Su Wan furrowed her brows in thought but honestly couldn't recall this person, "Sorry, I don't remember."
He seemed a bit helpless at her frankness, but remained confident in himself, "My name is Cheng Che. May I invite you for lunch?"
Worried about missing the orchestra meeting, Su Wan flatly refused him and immediately hailed a taxi. She didn't expect this man to follow her all the way here. She had indeed underestimated him a bit. After all, this was a public place, and she didn't want to attract attention. With these eager pursuers, she always maintained a firm stance, "I think I've made myself very clear, I have things to do, so I'm leaving now."
"Miss Su! Miss Su!"
The shouting continued behind her, and curious glances kept coming her way. Ignoring them, Su Wan quickened her pace, determined to leave and escape the annoyance as soon as possible.
As she reached the entrance, through the glass, she spotted a tall, upright figure standing outside. Without a second thought, Su Wan opened the door and directly went up to hook her arm through the person's. She felt the person beside her tremble slightly, but he didn't push her away.
She breathed a sigh of relief, and before she could turn and ask for help, Cheng Che had already pushed the door open and come out, "Miss Su…"
Suppressing her inner unease, Su Wan tightened her grip, also lightly placing her other hand on the person's arm. When she finally looked up, she was suddenly met with a pair of deep, ink-black eyes. She froze, "H-honey."
All of a sudden, Su Wan felt as if her entire body's blood had frozen, leaving her unable to move, "You're here…"
Could it be any more coincidental…
Fu Weiheng was momentarily taken aback, looking down at her pale face, lost in thought for a moment.
Casting another glance at the man chasing her, his brows shifted, guessing somewhat why she had suddenly approached him.
An unfathomable sense of joy arose in Fu Weiheng's heart. He grinned and went along with it, "I'm here."
His already incredibly handsome face broke into a sudden smile, making Su Wan's heart skip a beat with astonishment. Her face involuntarily flushed, and even her heartbeat quickened.
"Let's go home." He took her hand, moving naturally as if they were a real couple, and walked away.
Cheng Che: "…"
After walking a short distance, Su Wan turned back to check, relieved to see the man was not following. She then felt the warmth coming from her palm, instinctively shaking off the hand holding hers, and bowed shyly, flustered, "S-sorry…"
At the same time, she thought, he must think she's so strange…
