Connor didn't know how he left the Ginger Family, nor how he walked back to Johan Niles's side.
For the first time, he felt completely drained of strength. Even when he was locked in an underground boxing gym, forced to fight against thousands of kids, he hadn't felt as exhausted as he did now.
"Connor!"
Johan Niles was shocked when he saw blood seeping through Connor's clothes. "How did you get hurt? Did the Gingers hit you?"
Connor looked down and saw a patch of blood staining his arm.
"I wasn't hit. I might have accidentally scraped it on the way down the stairs."
Johan Niles rolled up his sleeve and saw a large patch of scraped skin on his arm. "No way, let's go to the hospital quickly, I'll help you take care of it!"
He pulled Connor into the car missing one door and drove towards Valley Hospital.
"How did it go? What did Cora Ginger say?"
"She said..."
Connor paused, suddenly feeling an overwhelming pain.
