Iris Harris ordered two steaks and a bottle of red wine, handed the menu to the waiter, and looked up at Brandan when she heard him speak.
His eyes were deep, making her lose focus for a moment. Then, she smiled slightly and nodded, "Yes, I will stay home and wait for you to come back."
Brandan felt a slight stir in his heart and instinctively reached out, grasping her fingers that were on the table.
"Wait for me to come back."
When he comes back, he will deal with Emily Dormer's matter and give her an explanation.

When she woke up the next day, there was no one beside her.
Iris Harris lay on the bed, opened her eyes to look at the void, then took out her phone, and called William Moore.
A gentle male voice came through: "Iris."
"Xavier, he went on a business trip." Iris Harris said softly, "I looked at his flight; he went to Columbia."
William Moore said softly, "He went to deal with her matter."
