She slept through the night without dreams.
When Iris Harris woke up, Brandan Hyde had already gotten out of bed. He was standing in front of the full-length mirror fixing his tie; the mirror reflected his handsome face and tall, upright figure. Seeing that Iris was awake, he said, "You didn't sleep well last night. Take it easy today. What do you want for breakfast? I'll ask Sister Jade to bring it up for you."
Iris rubbed her temples. Hearing what Brandan said, she made a puzzled sound, "Hm?" and asked, "I didn't sleep well last night?"
"Yeah. I was holding you and you kept tossing and turning all night. You almost rolled off the bed several times." Brandan turned around, there was a teasing note in his voice.
Iris froze for a moment. She'd thought she'd had a dreamless night and slept soundly, but it turned out that even in her sleep she'd still been troubled by her worries, and it had shown.
