The private room quieted down, the main door blocking the sounds from outside, leaving only silence inside.
Alex Hawk sat beside Brandan Hyde and couldn't help but feel a bit worried seeing him so still.
He leaned over to take a look and found that Brandan had already fallen asleep. Yet, his usually smooth features were now slightly furrowed, displaying a look of distress.
This guy, what exactly happened to him... He called him over, got himself drunk, and then fell asleep.
Alex let out a long sigh, resignedly stood up, and began to clean up after Brandan.
He called someone to help get Brandan out, then drove him back home.
It was not too late when he arrived, and the Hyde Residence was still brightly lit. Brandan's father lived abroad year-round, and they barely saw each other once a year. Only Brandan's mother was at home.
Lady Hyde was anxiously waiting on the sofa. Since morning, after Brandan took Iris Harris out, he hadn't returned, and she was deeply worried.
