"Where are you now?"
"At the Granger Residence party. What's up?"
"If you have time, go check Central West Road." Brandan thought to himself that Iris Harris should have taken a taxi home, but felt uneasy and couldn't help asking Alex Hawk to confirm, "Is Iris Harris over there?"
"Huh?"
Alex Hawk turned his head, looking at the lightning and thunder outside the window, "Why would she be over there?"
"My mom asked me to take her home," Brandan frowned, hesitated a bit, then said, "I got a call from Viola, so I asked her to get out and take a taxi home."
"Oh my God!"
Alex Hawk exclaimed, "How could there be any taxis in that godforsaken place! I'll go check right now!"
Saying this, he hurriedly hung up the phone.
Listening to the busy signal buzzing from the phone, Brandan's frown deepened.
He grew up in River City, so naturally, he knew that stretch of road was hard to find a taxi.
But at that time, he didn't want to stay with Iris Harris any longer.
