"Wow, it's snowing." Gong Ruini lay on the bed, yawning, thinking how cold the day was. Luckily, exams are over before the snow came down and the school is out for winter break.
Gong Ruini calculated the time; from the middle to late August until mid-November, it's really only three months, with farm work holidays in between.
"Luckily there's no weekend break, else I really wouldn't know what I've learned."
Gong Ruini always thought these kids had weekends off, but later she discovered that Cai Ming never had days off. Only if something came up could they take leave, which made her realize that rural kids start school early to avoid bad roads on the way to school, and apart from the autumn harvest holidays, they really don't have any days off.
This let Gong Ruini breathe a sigh of relief. If there were no weekends, she would be in the verge of a breakdown. Although she rarely sleeps in, having no chance to sleep in and choosing not to are two different things.
