At night, eleven o'clock.
Koa Jackson was just about to fall asleep.
The phone on the bedside table suddenly rang.
Thinking about it, he knew it was Mia Ginger. He smiled slightly, turned his head to pick up the phone, and answered directly.
"Brother Jackson, are you asleep?" Mia asked.
"About to sleep."
"..."
There was a brief silence on Mia's end, somewhat unusual.
Koa glanced at the time on his phone, his voice softening, and asked, "What's up? Did something happen?"
"Yeah." Mia hesitated over the phone. "I have something to tell you, but you mustn't get angry."
Koa: "..."
After a while, he said indifferently, "Go ahead."
"Are you angry?" Mia suddenly asked.
Koa was amused, "You haven't even told me yet. Just say it, I'll listen."
So... is there a chance you'll get angry?
Mia thought wildly but had to pluck up the courage, pretending to be relaxed, "I'm still out at a KTV now; I've just been out with classmates."
