Mia Ginger retracted her thoughts, smiled at him, and said, "What's there to worry about? I can handle it alone. Plus, the house keys were just given to me—it's my first personal little place ever, and I want to clean and decorate it nicely."
"Really?" Koa Jackson lowered his gaze to study her.
"Yes." Mia Ginger instinctively tidied her hair and said, looking up, "You don't need to worry. It's just the perfect time because of the holidays, and some classmates will help me tidy up. I'll invite you over to see it once I've set everything up, how about that?"
"You don't want me to help?"
"No, if you come, my classmates might get nervous." Mia Ginger wrapped his arm with her hands, playfully whining, "Besides, it's all girls. I don't want them going gaga over you, so I have to keep you hidden."
Koa Jackson looked down at her, couldn't help but smile, and said, "Alright then. It's the end of the year, and I'll mostly be at the hospital these days, so call me if you need anything."
