"You're here?" Mia Ginger's gaze lingered on the fruit basket, and she sighed, "Didn't I tell you not to buy anything? We can't eat much, and in this weather, it'll spoil."

"I'll eat it." Louis Cox tore open the plastic bag, took out an apple, smiled, and said, "Peel an apple for me, I feel like eating it."

"Can't you just wash it? Never seen you being this particular."

"Today I feel like eating a peeled one." Without giving her a chance to refuse, Louis Cox shoved the apple and knife into her hands, leaned in with a charming grin, "Miss Ginger, can you peel an apple for me, please?"

"I can't stand you."

Mia Ginger took the apple and knife, walked over to the table, and began peeling.

Louis Cox watched her, his gaze following her slender, fair fingers, tender and adoring, feeling as if his heart was moving back and forth with her actions.
