Everyone was staring fixedly at the empty bottle on the table, and after a few spins, the bottle pointed at Zhong Li.
"Truth or dare, truth or dare…"
Zhong Li looked bewildered at the bottle pointing at her; before anyone could say anything, her phone, which was in her bag, started ringing.
Zhong Li took out her phone, glanced at the screen's note: "Sorry, I need to take this call."
"Don't try to escape," joked one of the colleagues.
Zhong Li stood up from her chair and said with a smile, "Don't worry, I'll be right back."
After leaving the private room, Zhong Li pressed the answer button.
"I have an event tonight, are you home?"
Gu Nanxi was concerned she might be working late at the office again, so he called to check.
His voice not only came from the earpiece, but it seemed to be very close by; Zhong Li turned around and saw Gu Nanxi standing not far away, holding his phone.
"I'm right behind you." Zhong Li said and then hung up the phone.
