As she walked into the restaurant, Han Xi saw Liao Tingxiao seated in the distance.
Liao Tingxiao looked up and saw Han Xi too. He stood up from his chair and draped his overcoat over her: "Put this on, don't catch a chill."
Han Xi took off the coat with a look of disdain, her eyes chilly as she stared at him: "Mr. Liao, you brought me here by force, what is it that you want?"
"Xiao Xi, don't misunderstand, Lu Jinghan has protected you so thoroughly that I had no other way to meet you except this."
Liao Tingxiao pulled out a chair for Han Xi, signaling her to sit down.
Han Xi sat at the table and sneezed from the cold: "Is there something urgent, Mr. Liao?"
Liao Tingxiao snapped his fingers at the waiter: "Please turn up the heat."
"Yes, Mr. Liao."
Today, Liao Tingxiao had reserved the entire restaurant just to have a private meal with Han Xi.
Han Xi wasn't in a hurry; she quietly sat in the chair waiting to hear what he had to say.
