His somewhat naive reaction amused Munni. She chuckled softly and patiently repeated, "Let's get our marriage license on Valentine's Day."
Making sure he didn't mishear or imagine it, joy surged like a rising tide in Xu Yisen's heart, unmistakably displayed on his face.
"Thank you, Mrs. Xu."
"I'm not Mrs. Xu yet."
"Future Mrs. Xu."
"Mm-hmm."
Xu Yisen wanted to lean in to kiss Munni's cheek, but Munni seemed to have anticipated his intention and handed him a piece of cake just as he leaned forward.
He opened his mouth to eat the cake Munni offered, his heart filled with sweet happiness.
"If we get our license on February 14th, let's have the wedding on March 1st, and then... have a baby."
Xu Yisen's anticipation for the future made Munni laugh and cry at the same time. She mimicked his gesture, gently tapping his head with her hand.
"Let's take it as it comes; we'll talk about the future later. Don't think too far ahead."
