Watt Bennet was driving, slowly heading towards the mountain resort where he had an appointment with Ryan Walyon.
The night was heavy, with no moon or stars, and a mass of dark clouds pressed heavily on the night sky. It looked like it might rain later.
The mountain road was not easy to navigate, steep and challenging even during the daytime, let alone at night. Fortunately, Watt Bennet's driving skills were solid, and the car moved steadily along.
In the darkness, as he drove through the winding mountain roads, just a few hundred meters from the agreed resort, Watt's car had just turned a corner when suddenly he heard the rumble of rocks falling behind him, seemingly the result of a landslide.
When he turned back, the road behind him was already blocked.
Above, the clouds remained, but the rain hadn't begun to fall yet.
Landslides usually occur after heavy rain, yet the ground was still dry.
