No sound of his footsteps came from the hallway. The lights downstairs remained on throughout the night. As long as they stayed lit, Summer Sutton kept staring at them...
The next day, she went downstairs a bit early.
She looked like she hadn't slept well last night, with heavy bags under her eyes and her whole face showing exhaustion.
However, she applied light makeup to cover some of it.
Adrian Walyon obviously hadn't slept all night. He glanced sideways at her and had been staring at her since she came downstairs.
Summer acted as if she didn't notice, and just like usual, she went to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for the two of them. She sat quietly at the dining table and ate her breakfast. Around nine o'clock, she handed him an agreement. "I finished my part last night, Mr. Walyon, please take a look. If there are no objections, just sign it!"
Standing beside him, she waited quietly.
Without seeing him sign, she seemed unwilling to give up.
