Ryan Walyon couldn't quite tell if Summer Sutton genuinely meant what she said earlier, or if it was just for appearances in front of others.
The car fell into silence for a moment.
Neither of them spoke another word.
Upon arriving at the Walyon Family's home, Adrian Walyon's car happened to pull in as well.
Seeing Summer Sutton and Ryan Walyon getting out of the car together, he was momentarily stunned.
"I bumped into Summer on the road and figured you'd be coming home tonight, so I brought her along," Ryan explained first.
Adrian didn't ask much, but simply pulled Summer to his side, and said flatly, "Next time, just call me. Don't trouble others."
"Okay," Summer replied to him softly.
"Let's go!" The two of them entered the garden together.
Tonight was the Lantern Festival, and there was a strong festive atmosphere at the Walyon family's dinner.
