Ryan Walyon's gaze lingered for a little too long after drifting over to her.
Until suddenly, Sophie Walyon's voice rang out, "Ryan, do you want to come over and join us?"
Ryan Walyon had always been steady, and he usually wouldn't do such a thing.
He was silent for a moment after Sophie's words. Sophie had thought he wouldn't join, but Ryan slowly walked over to the two of them.
Sophie handed him a bundle of fireworks, "I picked these. Aren't they beautiful?"
"Yes," Ryan Walyon replied softly.
Sophie lit another one, spinning around with it, "The fireworks are flying! They're flying!"
A child's world is always full of innocence and imagination.
Summer Sutton continued to keep him company, and by the end of the night, the two had gone through at least a few hundred fireworks.
Ryan Walyon sat quietly beside them, watching the two play.
The three of them stayed in the garden until past eleven when Sophie finally returned to her room, exhausted.
