If he could kill Jiang Xue in one stroke, the reward would be substantial. However, while his thoughts were ambitious, he overestimated his skills and underestimated Jiang Xue.
She was not a delicate little woman, so when his short knife thrust at Jiang Xue, Jiang Xue was the first to react.
With a slight flick of her fingertips, a fierce wind struck the waiter's wrist. The wrist ached, and the short knife fell, producing a crisp sound.
The situation changed suddenly, and before anyone could respond, Huo Cong had already restrained the waiter, coldly asking, "Who sent you?"
The waiter glared at Jiang Xue without speaking. He thought his assassination was guaranteed but didn't expect it to fall short.
Fengzi looked at the waiter and said coldly, "Call the manager over."
The manager quickly arrived and continuously apologized to Jiang Xue and the others. After apologizing, the manager turned to the waiter and asked sharply, "Why did you do this?"
