As the villagers said, the good days they have now, with good food and clothing and an abundance of meat, and the prosperity of every household, are all thanks to the benevolence of Yun Shuangshuang and Feng Jinyan. The two benefactors never asked for anything in return, and the villagers felt they couldn't repay them. So, if they could earn something just by putting in some effort, it would be shameful to take the benefactors' money; therefore, they resolutely refused any payment.
Yun Shuangshuang and the villagers debated the money issue for quite a while without reaching a conclusion. Given the urgency of the rescue situation, Yun Shuangshuang eventually compromised and brought a truck full of bamboo rafts to the disaster area.
