Robert Williams and Irene Morton were both taken aback at first, but quickly, they both reacted.
Robert gave a response and immediately started the car.
"Brother Asher, you're so nice," Irene said, breaking into a smile while holding his arm.
He just removed her hand and turned his head to look out the window.
Regarding Irene, he really didn't know how to describe his feelings for her.
All along, he had considered her like a sister. Yes, he was grateful to her for pleading on his behalf before the old man and lending a hand to him. He also admitted that ever since he got together with Sophie Smith, his attitude toward her had worsened significantly. But actually, as long as she didn't force him to marry her, he could treat her like he used to.
"Irene,..." His deep voice suddenly rang out, and he called her Irene?
It was a long time since she had heard him call her that.
Irene's eyes couldn't hide her excitement.
