Sophie Smith found Young Master Land's narcissism incredibly annoying and exasperating.
"You..." Sophie was just about to retort, when the head of the orthopedic department who operated on James Smith came over.
"Hurry up and settle the unpaid surgery fee. Can't believe you're dragging your feet over five thousand bucks!"
Sophie didn't understand why he was saying this. She had borrowed money from that nurse to pay the surgery fee in full, so why was he still demanding it from her?
"I told Nurse Quinn about borrowing the two thousand from her..."
"That money has been refunded to her. Someone like you, unreliable. Do you even have the ability to repay what you borrowed? Do you?"
Sophie was completely baffled, unable to react for a moment.
"Shut up!" Asher Land roared angrily, sending a chill down Sophie's spine as she turned her startled gaze back to him.
