Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: It Turned Out to Be Him

She didn't even know why she fell into panic, she hadn't even seen his face clearly, but she was certain that man was much scarier than Sam Chapman, a hundred times, a thousand times scarier, someone she absolutely couldn't afford to provoke. If she fell into his hands, ...

She didn't dare to think further.

However, even so, she mustered the courage and raised her head.

"Sir, I wasn't trying to escape because you simply don't have the right to imprison me." Her tone was gentle and calm because she didn't want him to see her flustered emotions.

After all, she was living in a society governed by law; she hadn't provoked him, so how could he arrogantly and conceitedly say such things?

"Oh, is that so?" No one had ever dared to question his ability before, she was the first, so should he give this woman a lesson, then?

The man's large hand tightened, once again holding her tightly in his embrace. Sophie also got angry; why was she having such bad luck today, encountering one man after another trying to take advantage of her? If she had known, she would have never come here.

"Let me go! I want to leave!" Her small hands randomly pounded on his chest, the man curled his lips in a disdainful smile, how could this little wildcat be his match?

"I hate those who don't know gratitude the most. I saved you, and you treat me like this?"

Gratitude?

He spoke so grandly, but he was clearly in cahoots with Sam Chapman, and yet he had the nerve to say he saved her?

"I'll say it again, let go!" She continually challenged this dangerous man in front of her, though at this moment she hadn't realized just how dangerous he was.

Sophie felt like she was about to go mad, in a surge of impulses, she picked up the wine glass on the table, lifted her hand, and splashed its full contents on the face she hadn't yet had the chance to see clearly.

"Hiss..." Sophie's action shocked everyone around, they took a deep breath and held it, at this moment there was only one thought in their hearts.

This girl is doomed!

The dim lights of the private room suddenly became bright and piercing. Sophie instinctively raised her hand to block her eyes, clearly not accustomed to the blinding light.

About five seconds later, she slowly put her hand down and finally understood the situation.

Why were everyone's eyes unanimously fixed on her?

There was anger, there was fear, and even sympathy?

The complexity of these gazes was too much for her to bear; she came to her senses, recalling what she just did…

Her gaze slowly shifted to the man beside her, and as she met those eagle-sharp black eyes, she couldn't help but open her mouth wide, her eyes filled with shock.

It was him!
