Every second spent next to Anubis had been truly tense; he didn't know if that oath could stop Anubis if he truly wanted to kill him.
Angel spoke to him in his mind once more, a sign that she had returned safely from the nightmare world. Her voice had grown sweeter with each passing day; that cold, emotionless artificial intelligence had been left behind, giving way to a new entity that wasn't yet a living being, but was no longer a machine.
"Can you believe everything that's happened?", William asked.
