As Luin cast his spell. A huge pillar of golden fire shot from his palms, it slammed directly into the Minotaur's exposed neck. The flames of the spell started to wrap around the beast, the flames started consuming the Minotaur.
The Minotaur tried to scream in agony again, but its throat collapsed mid-scream. The Minotaur dropped to one knee, then to another.
And finally, it fell on the ground. His huge battle axe crashed on the ground beside him.
The chamber was filled with silence, the silence was broken by the crackling of the dying flames.
Kael fell on the ground hard, he started gasping for his breath. "Did we… did we just win?"
Riven dropped to one knee, taking support from his sword. "If this thing gets back up again, I know just one thing I will walk out of this trial with dislocated joints everywhere in my body."
Luin collapsed beside a pillar, he was too drained to even speak, all of his mana was used in that last attack of his.
Emil stood slowly, he was finding it hard to be on his two feet, and he felt the weight of the current situation. He looked up and there it was:

Preparing new environment…
A soft rhythmic hum filled the chamber. The torches started to dim.
They had done it. As a team.
Emil let out a long breath. "We survived that hell, good work guys, we would have died if we didn't work as a team."
No one said anything for a moment.
Then Kael laughed weakly and said. "Well, it was all thanks to your leadership, I hate to believe it. But, it's truth."
Riven smirked and said coldly. "Oh, the guy who is filled with arrogance is agreeing that we won because of someone else."
Kael said in a bit angry tone. "Shut the fuck up, I have to say that you know, we are alive right now and that's all thanks to Emil."
Luin shushed them both and said. "Chill you both, let us all rest and see what will happen next."
Riven and Kael agreed and followed behind Emil.
Emil looked at them, he was bruised, his body was bleeding, barely alive. And for the first time in a while, he let a smile form on his lips.
Luin noticed his smile and said. "Ohhhh, it's been a while since you last smiled like that, Emil."
Emil let out a gentle sigh and said. "Well, we were not in the right moment, where I could have let out a smile you know."
Riven noticed Emil and his gestures and found it interesting and got curious. He just smirked and sheathed his sword.
Emil said. "Let's rest, while we still can."
They all went to the rest area, there was a mana spring, they could use to recover their mana.
Emil and the rest of the team went to the mana spring, Emil sat next to the spring, Luin was sitting beside Emil, Riven was standing next to a wall and Kael was lying next to the mana spring on the opposite side of Luin and Emil.
As they all rested and recovered their mana. Beside them, deep writhing the cracked stone chamber, there were the remains of the dead Minotaur, a symbol slowly started to glow up, it was the same as the glowing sigil which appeared in Raen's maze, it was pulsing faintly.
Riven noticed that Sunil looked at Emil and gave him a sigh. Emil noticed the sigil too.
Emil looked at Riven and nodded, Riven understood what Emil meant by that, he picked up his sword and started going near the sigil. Luin noticed him but didn't say anything because of the serious look on Emil's face, Kael was sleeping nearby so he didn't know about what was happening.
After Riven reached near the sigil, he touched and then, a strange voice echoed in the chamber and it said, if you want to co-tumhe the trial you can or you can even leave the trial right now.
Riven came back to the resting place. "So what should we do now, Emil."
Emil took a few seconds before replying. "Listen, I want to continue. But, look at Kael and Luin, they both are not in the right situation to fight anymore. It would be better if we leave now."
Luin and Riven nodded.
Emil looked at Riven and said. "Riven, can you lift that lazy fucker up."
Riven smirked coldly and said. "Yeah, I will, do t worry about it, Emil."
Emil chose the option that said, leave the trial right now and then they came back to where the professors were.
Back to the present.
"So, that's how we won the trial."
Raen looked at Emil, took a while and then said. "Okay. So, that's how you guys came in the first place."
Riven said coldly, completely uninterested. "Yes, you got any doubts?"
Arthur said in anger. "Mind your fucking tone, you asshole. You are talking to our leader so better watch your tone."
Kael jumped in and said. "Oh just shut up, he is not a legend, for whom we have to mind our tone."
Kael and Arthur pulled their weapons out. Riven placed his hand on his sword handle, Draven grabbed his long sword and lifted it in the air. Prepared for the battle.
Both Emil and Raen said in unison "Stop!"
Arthur, Draven, Riven and Kael, stopped.
Riven said formally. "I am sorry, Emil, I lost my cool for a second back there."
Emil looked at Riven and said. "I told you about how we won the trial. So, it will be better if you don't exaggerate this anymore."
Riven nodded and said politely. "Yes, you are right."
Emil and Riven shared their hands and then went the opposite way.
Emil and the team were together and Emil said. "Now we will wait for the other students to come back."
