Chapter 11 - Shattered Life 1

"W.... ha....te!"

It was all jumbled, all the noises, sound and feeling was numb. It felt like drowning under water until,

*Splash*

Actual water was thrown and all the feeling disappeared in a flash. Just as the angry growl was about to be resound in the room, someone interrupted,

"It's about time to wake up! Anymore and you late your chores." said a girl with similar age as the girl she was scolding to. She was holding a wooden mug which she probably used to splash water on the girl on the bed.

"There are better ways to wake me up then this Trisha! Some of us work late night you know?" said the girl on the bed angrily. Waking up with water splashed on you when you are in deep sleep, damn that hits hard.

"Yeah right. Spending entire night with Young Master Ethan and coming late all disheveled, that does not come under the category of 'work'." said the girl with the mug, or better as called, Trisha. She had an angry expression while looking at her childhood friend.

"You should give it another go too you know. After that one time, you never visited him and ignored his advances. He is starting to get irritated about you. I don't want to lose my friend." she said in sad tone. Her last sentence felt...off.

"Yeah no. I'm not interested in children who think they are men. That's just a two time thing that's all. Forget that, you have things to do." Trisha said while closing the door. Job of a maid not simple as everyone think. Cleaning, cooking, preparing breakfast, washing things and many more that can happen in this Viscount family.

Although not a noble blood, she still got hired to this household along with her friend because of one person, Young Master Ethan.

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows though. As a children with commoner blood, both little girls received harsh treatment even among fellow maids.

But they powered though, because they had no other choice. They were both orphan, one was thrown away and other had dead parents. Both being mature beyond their age because of life, her friend was the real pillar for Trisha. Besides, having this job was still a lot better than selling their bodies for food and shelter. Or, that's how things were supposed to happen.

At first, they were grateful to Young master Ethan who even though much older then them, still took them. At first, though.

Later she found out a horrible truth. And that was, her young master was a cannibal. Saying she was shocked will be an understatement. She was horrified. She wanted to tell her friend but stopped mid way. Because in front of her was the person whose true nature she just found out, and he had a hostage, her friend in his grasp, unconscious.

She tried many ways to run away along with her friend, but failed every time. Reason? It was none other than her friend. It's as if she was out of her mind, more more like hypnotized.

And that's when her nightmare began. Only she knew how gut wrenching it was when she found her friend was sneaking into young master's chamber every night. Praying every time to see her friend next day.

And that was how, according to her friend, she 'slept' with young master.

It was then she realized, or told by the young master that she didn't find out that day, it was shown to her on purpose! And this was just a game. Judging by how none of her plans work, it looked more like she wasn't his first victim.

Luckily for her though, or more like her dedication to find a way out, she was accepted as one of personal servants of Lady Seraphina, mother of young master Ethan and wife of the current Patriarch.

This helped her to resist him as long as she could. That is, till now. Today was the last day of her life. That was the deal she made with the demon to save her friend's life. And the due was near. Soon, she will breath her last.

As she walked to the sacrificial room, she couldn't help but feel....fear. If anyone saw her, they could see through her body language how afraid she was, or more like she didn't care even if someone saw.

"So you've come." the silence was shattered by a deep, eerie voice. She could tell even though she didn't want to who the owner was.

Their he was, sapphire blue eyes, untied long blonde hairs, small pointed nose and well toned body peeking though his half buttoned shirt. And his eyes, oh damn that's the one that can give one shivers. But she knew better, the darkness hiding behind the light.
