The scream from Han Queying rang in Zhao Yiming's ears like an alarm.
As he turned around, the scene behind him was enough to make him grit his teeth.
She was pinned, her back slammed against the car hood, one of the thugs grabbing a fistful of her hair while the other wound up his bat for a swing.
"Those bastards!"
Zhao Yiming didn't think. He surged forward, shoulder first, crashing into the bat-wielding thug and knocking him to the ground.
The other tried to hold onto Queying, but she recovered fast, she kneed him in the stomach with enough force to make him double over, then smashed her elbow into the back of his neck.
"I got him!" she shouted, wiping blood from her lip.
"You sure?" Zhao Yiming asked, spinning around just in time to catch a boot to his chest. "It's alright if you rest or hide Officer Han. You are hurt."
"Huh, are you seriously saying that? Who's the cop here again?" She lifted her brow, annoyed while he just laughed.
