Almost every pirate thought the same thing—Akainu and Sengoku were worlds apart.
Akainu was, from head to toe, a mad dog filled with danger.
His nickname couldn't have been more fitting—he really was like a rabid hound, charging in to bite the moment he saw a pirate.
Any pirate who had fought against Akainu before would remember the terror.
Whitebeard gave a confident smile and said to his men:
"In short, what we have to do now is focus on what we can control. I don't believe for a second that we're out of options.
"No matter how many forces join this battle…
"I'm not afraid of any of them!
"Bring as many as you want—I'll take them all on!
"Who's afraid of who?
"I am the strongest man in the world!"
When he said that last line, Whitebeard unintentionally released a burst of overwhelming Conqueror's Haki, his voice booming with pride.
What Whitebeard and his crew didn't realize was that while they were busy discussing countermeasures, Kronos had already led the Kamui Pirates deep into the core of Honeycomb Island.
Thanks to the flawless diving capabilities of the Angel of Redemption, the Whitebeard Pirates on guard duty had no idea an enemy had slipped in—let alone that danger was already inside their territory.
In fact, it had never even crossed their minds.
No one would expect the fearsome Kamui Pirates, known for their overwhelming frontal assaults, to use such a stealthy approach.
Now, the Angel of Redemption was only five minutes away from officially landing on Honeycomb Island.
The war was about to begin.
But for the crew, those five minutes felt like an eternity—truly the kind of wait that could be described as "living through a year in a single moment."
"Let me make this clear," Uchiha Madara declared suddenly. "If I run into Whitebeard later, he's mine."
Surprisingly, it wasn't Senju Hashirama who jumped in to oppose him this time—but Gojo Satoru.
Gojo smirked. "Weren't you planning to fight Garp? In that case, leave Whitebeard to me. I'm very interested in him."
Madara snorted. "Why don't you stick to watching over the prisoners instead of getting in the way?"
Gojo, clearly expecting that answer, just chuckled. "Don't worry. I've already arranged for someone else to handle that."
He glanced over his shoulder toward Illya in the distance. "I'll leave that to you. No problem, right?"
Illya, who had no plans to take action otherwise, immediately agreed to his request.
It wasn't just Madara and Gojo who were fired up—the other Kamui Pirates were also eager to prove themselves. Many hoped to take down one of Whitebeard's division commanders and show their worth in front of their captain.
That competitive spirit was exactly what Kronos liked to see. Crew members fighting for glory meant they would fight even harder.
Kronos suddenly laughed to himself.
In a way, the way he was about to land on Honeycomb Island was eerily similar to how Whitebeard had arrived at Marineford years ago.
If Whitebeard found out that Kronos was using his own tactics against him… it might just give the old man a heart attack.
