The students were all beyond exhausted after what they had pulled off, though they had consumed potions to recover much of their stamina and mana reserves.
But they had already done that a few times previously, since the very start of this battle. So, consuming such powerful medicines over such a short period of time meant they had less and less effect with each subsequent use. But even if they did recover some of their mana and stamina, the mental fatigue was real; no alchemical medicines could negate it.
