Even when various powerful Seekers employed unpleasant methods on Ken, his statements remained unchanged; he was 100% sincere and speaking the truth from his own perspective, stating that he had no memory or recollection of entering the forest with 20 of his friends. Ken himself was utterly horrified by the whole damn situation. It was downright unsettling for him.
He was repeatedly asked about an event he had no recollection of; sometimes the questions were asked politely, while at other times they were not. The 20 pro-noble heirs he was closest to had all died, in one single night, and they were saying he was with them, entered the forest together.
But somehow, he was the only one who had survived. Then, what had happened just a day ago, popped into his head, as if he were the student being called roll. The lingering sensation of boundless terror that washed over every fiber of his being, right after opening his eyes.
