"How do you like it?" I grinned from ear to ear seeing the little girl that was like a daughter to me devouring a pizza for the first time.
"Mmmm." She let out an incomprehensible sound, too invested in the new experience to make words.
"Ah-Ah del ahkarou!" Gelda nodded as she spoke in a foreign tongue. The essence of her words were that she was enjoying herself.
"Good." I myself had a small box of poutine that I ate while thinking of the money I had left.
[We spent 60 Marks on the apartment and I myself gave 5 to Dellila so I have 35 Marks left, 5 for this dinner puts me at 30. 10 for the food and other stuff we bought earlier and 15 for electricity and utilities leaves me with just 5 Marks.]
[I'll have to spend what's left more diligently. Dan probably has jobs for me to make a little something but I doubt it'll make much of a difference.]
Once Gelda was done eating, we returned to the apartment. Some other woman was waiting at the door, she gave us our keys before we returned to our room.
Room 206.
I stretched as Gelda unlocked the door.
"You ready to get some work done?"
Gelda smiled as I patted her head and gave a soft "yes".
Walls, floors, stove, we had our work cut out for us.
...
JAMES MARIO
"The f**k do you want?"
Gods, I hated dealing with these freaks.
Elris' crimson eyes bore into mine with not the slightest shred of hostility. Even through his white button up, I could see the muscles underneath. It all pissed me off, every last thing about this man.
"Why the animosity?"
By his side, two members of the Red Punisher Order glare at me. They weren't needed, only there for intimidation factor. Elris alone would be more than enough to kill me....
Under normal circumstances.
"Your smile pisses me off, your eyes pisses me off, everything about you makes me want to claw my skin off. what did you come here for?" I sneered.
Elris tilted his head in confusion. "Is there something wrong with my eyes?" He took out a mirror to check on his vermillion pupils. There was nothing wrong with them, they were as perfect as ever.
He put his mirror away, and under his eyes a red light shun. At his side, a black card with accents appeared.
"Anyways, I came here for the Executioner's Nexi."
I cut the edge of my cigar and lit it, letting out a sigh. My eyes also glowed but not the same blood color as Elris, mine glowed with a bright azure light.
On my side, a Nexi also formed. Though it wasn't as solid or real as the one across from me.
"Oh? I heard you weren't a Nexi user"
I took a long puff and blew the smoke into Elris' face.
"I'm not."
A powerful gust of wind flew out from me, Elris blocked it with a wind of his own.
"I'll sell you the Nexi from 4000 Mark." I almost burst out in the laughter at my own proposal. It was ridiculous, I was selling back to Elris what already belonged to him.
His face twitched slightly.
"Isn't that a little much? It is mine to begin with."
"5000."
"You little-"
"8000."
"Fine! Fine!"
I smiled.
"Is that all? It's been a pleasure."
Had it not been for my 'Nexi' and my brother's reputation, Elris would've killed me. I could see it in his eyes.
"Dan will be seeing you out."
I reveled at the horror in his eyes upon hearing the name.
