" Hey don't," a man said, appearing out of nowhere, his face covered. He shot Taro, who fell to the ground, dropping his gun and died. The man leapt onto the roof and disappeared.
Executioner crawled across the floor, the pain from his wound was relentless drumbeat in his head. His vision began to blur as he reached out and hold Rina's hand.
Rina eyes closed and collapsed, Executioner's eyes dropped shut. But he forced them open, gritting his teeth. He pushed himself up, using his fist to lever himself off the ground.
" I'm not dying here,"
He muttered, yelling in pain as he struggled to his feet. Blood came out from his mouth, and his clothes soaked with it. He stumbled forward, his body numb, and bent to pick up Rina.
He carried her out of the building, moving slowly, one painful step at a time. His body weakened with each step, but he kept going. He stumbled, almost fell, but manage to catch himself.
Finally, he reached his car and laid Rina inside. He sat in the it and started the car and accelerate, the vehicle swerving all over the road.
As he drove, his body gave out, and hiss head hit the steering wheel. The car careened out of control, heading straight For a crowded club. People scrambled out of the way as the car crashed through the entrance, bounced off a wall, and rolled onto a bush.
The impact threw Executioner out of the car, and the shards of glass pierced his body. The car came to rest against a tree, the engine sputtering.
Executioner slowly opened his eyes, lying on the ground amidst the wreckage. He saw his car was a crumpled mess of metal and glass and Rina is still inside. Groaning, he rolled over and forced himself up, using a nearby tree for support. His eyes were bloodshot, and his body felt like lead.
He took a step, his body unsteady, and fell. He struggled to get up again, but his legs wouldn't hold him. He crawled towards the car, grasping for the door handle. Suddenly, the car exploded, throwing him to hit a tree.
Executioner couldn't stand up, his legs and arms were broken. He raised his hand at the burning car. In a blur, he saw a woman in black swinging from tree to car, then his eyes went off.
In different location:
" where could they be?" Mei asked the gathered agents.
Ryota rubbed his chin thoughtfully. " I'm wondering the same thing."
Natsumi's eyes widened as she remembered something. " Wait, I saw them...Executioner and Rina...they were..."
Mei face grim. " Agents, take your cars and search everywhere. Find them."
The agents quickly dispersed, getting into their vehicles.
A swirling portal appeared at where Mei stand, where the Thunder God suddenly appeared out of the portal, his presence radiating power.
" Mei, you're risking a lot by resurrecting Bryce. You know the resurrecting pill Is gone."
Mei bowed deeply. " I have no choice, your Highness. Bryce is the only one who can...handle the darkness in Executioner. You cursed him with Raven soul, right? so you know what am talking about."
The thunder God turned and walked to the portal, then he looked back and whispered.
" Last chance." Before entering the portal.
The agents followed Executioner and Rina's trail to the bush where the car had crashed.
They got of their cars, seeing the burning wreckage.
" Isn't that Executioner's car?" Shota asked, his voice serious.
Hiroto walked forward, touching the car. " Yes, it is. But I lost their scent, which means they might have gotten out, or burnt in the car."
The agents were shocked, their eyes wide with surprise. Natsumi sat on the ground, shaking and tears dripping down her face.
" Rina, why? My only sister...my family in this world." She screamed in pain. " Why did you leave me?"
Ling Tian rushed to her side, holding her hands and pulling her up. " Stop crying. We don't know if they're dead or not." Natsumi's cries turned to sobs as Ling Tian held her.
" They're not dead." She whispered. " Let's search around."
The agents combed the bushes, searching for any sign of Executioner and Rina.
A week later, in Minato village...
Rina slowly opened her eyes, her vision blurry. She saw flames, nothing but flames. She sat up sharply on the bed, pains in her body. She lay back, gasping.
A soft cold voice spoke. " You're awake."
Rina turned her head, seeing a woman with purple hair and brown eyes sitting in a chair, embroidery.
" Who are you?" Rina asked, her voice weak. " How did I end up here?"
The woman smiled. " I'll tell you latter. Just rest for now. My name is Yui."
Rina nodded, her eyes closing. Yui got up and left the room.
Meanwhile, the agents were still searching, but they had found nothing.
" It has been a week now, no trace of them. umph." Ryota said in a tired tone.
As Rina lay in bed, she felt a presence behind her. She turned to see Executioner, his eyes still closed. But then, his eyes flickered open, and he whispered...
