"Young people never learn."
"This world isn't as simple as you think."
Magneto remained composed, his expression serious. Without a word, he reached out and with a wave of his hand, massive metal objects around him began to deform, chasing after Robert. The metal moved like a swarm, attempting to bind him.
"Since that's the case, you're in trouble now." Magneto smirked.
Robert, however, coldly snorted in response. He stopped dodging and let the metal come closer. In an instant, the massive metal surrounded him like a burrito, leaving only his head exposed.
"What will you do now, young man?" Magneto asked, his voice dripping with mockery.
"I won't kill you," Robert responded nonchalantly, "but I do greatly admire your power."
Magneto raised an eyebrow. "This is your unique and powerful talent," he said with a smile. "But if you want to unleash the full potential of this ability, you should join my Brotherhood of Mutants."
Magneto spoke with sincerity, his voice carrying a unique charm. He was a powerful mutant and possessed a personal allure. After gaining the upper hand, he started trying to convince Robert to join him.
Robert, however, snorted again. "Too late."
"You still resist?" Magneto asked with a smile. Obtaining Robert, this powerful child, was far more important than acquiring Rogue.
"I have many tricks up my sleeve." Robert grinned, his confidence growing.
He didn't wait for Magneto to react. With a sudden motion, Robert blew downward. A white aura immediately spread outward, enveloping the surrounding metal. In an instant, the metal was covered in frost, freezing it solid.
"What did you do?" Magneto's expression froze in confusion. He tried to manipulate the metal, but he found it incredibly difficult. The metal that was once under his control now felt like it was stuck in mud. It was uncomfortable to move, as if its molecules were stuck in place.
Robert's grin widened. "What did I do? Well, children who haven't been to school wouldn't understand."
Magneto's ability was terrifying, more so than most people realized. He didn't just manipulate metal; his power allowed him to control electromagnetism, one of the four fundamental forces of nature. After being enhanced by Apocalypse, Magneto could even manipulate substances within the soil. That was the true extent of his abilities.
But Robert knew Magneto's cultivation wasn't perfect. His power had a significant weakness—extreme low temperatures. Robert had been exploiting that weakness, reducing the movement of the electrons within the metal's molecules. The Magneto at his peak might not have been affected by this, but the current Magneto was struggling.
The metal, once controlled so easily, was now stiff and brittle. Robert's gaze became more confident as he watched the metal crack under the pressure.
With a snap of his fingers, Robert delivered a powerful blow to the frozen metal. The metal cracked and shattered, flying outward like cannonballs.
Magneto stood there, dumbfounded. He couldn't understand how Robert had done it.
"How did you do that?" Magneto demanded, disbelief on his face. "That's impossible. How can a human body break free from metal like this?"
Robert's grin grew wider as he approached. "You really don't get it, do you? This isn't just brute strength. There's more to it."
Magneto looked at him, his eyes full of suspicion. "You must have another ability, one that mimics others. That's how you broke free, isn't it?"
Robert smirked but didn't bother explaining. Instead, he charged directly at Magneto.
At that moment, Ryan—Charles Xavier's closest ally—felt a surge of concern. "Robert, spare him!" he called out.
When Robert heard Ryan's voice, he glanced at him briefly before walking straight toward Magneto.
"Don't worry, Professor," Robert said, his voice steady. "I'm not a madman."
Magneto, still trapped in Robert's power, realized that he was no longer in control of his surroundings.
Robert reached out and removed Magneto's helmet. Magneto immediately went stiff, his mind under the control of Charles Xavier's telepathic influence.
"Don't worry, Professor. I'm not going to kill him," Robert said casually, sensing Charles's concern. "But, honestly, you should make sure he doesn't get off so easily."
Charles, still struggling to contain his own emotions, nodded. "Of course, Robert. Do what you must."
The moment Robert took Magneto's helmet off, the once untouchable mutant was at the mercy of the telepathic powers that could control him completely. But Robert wasn't done yet.
As Robert looked at the Professor, his suspicions grew. "Why do I feel like something's wrong?" he thought to himself. "I can't just let this old man off so easily. Not yet."
With a swift motion, Robert summoned a white injection device into his hand. Magneto's expression shifted, realizing what was coming next.
Chapter 15: X-Gene Suppression Potion! Magneto Gone?
Magneto was a wanted criminal in many countries, a man whose actions were seen as a threat to humanity. Yet, beneath the surface, the truth about Magneto was far more complex.
Eric Lensherr, known to most as Magneto, wasn't inherently anti-human. In his younger days, he had worked in a steel factory and even saved his fellow workers from danger. But his life had been marked by tragedy.
Over the years, the string of misfortunes that plagued him twisted his views on humanity. And now, the once noble-minded man had transformed into a mutant extremist—one who would do whatever it took to ensure his race's survival.
