So, the next morning, Lene helped Clare get ready for class and then left us.
I, for my part, simply looked at the nervous Clare, because Rae was supposed to "appear" today.
"Clare, don't be so nervous! And anyway, do you really want to meet your minions?" I asked.
"Miyabi... Wait! They're not my minions! And they're clearly not evil! They're my friends!" Clare exclaimed, to which I simply rolled my eyes.
She clearly knew I was just joking. Loretta Kugret and Pipi Barlier were close friends of Clare's, and even in the original, they clearly weren't evil... I'd met them many times when Clare invited them over or went to visit them herself. But for some reason, they were often afraid of me, so they never took the initiative to talk to me.
We eventually left Clare's room and headed to class. As we entered the classroom, all eyes were on us, or rather, me, but no one approached us, keeping their distance.
Clare sat behind Rae, who was still acting robotic, but that didn't last long... After the bell rang, the teacher entered the room and introduced himself, but since I wasn't interested, I simply sank into my thoughts. Although the lesson must have been interesting; after all, he was talking about magic and ancient relics.
But the lesson ended rather quickly, and Clare looked at Rae, who was "asleep" on the table, and only sighed, stood up, and walked over to her.
"Hey, you! Wake up right now!" Clare said haughtily.
"Can't you hear me?! What impudence!" she said again, and then I saw the girl slowly rise and start looking around, unsure where she was. But then she looked at Clare, and I was willing to bet hearts appeared in her eyes.
"You worthless commoner!" I have to admit, Clare is a natural actress. If I didn't know better, I'd think she was actually mocking the poor girl.
"Clare?" Rai asked quietly.
"What? Yes, how dare you address me like that?!" Clare said haughtily.
"Lady Clare?" said Rea.
"That's better!" said Clare haughtily.
"Do you remember my name?" asked Rai.
"Are you kidding me?! Rae Taylor!" Clare declared.
After the words, "Clare," I immediately noticed Rai blushing, to which I simply shook my head, and I could say I was a little jealous...
Not towards these two, but simply towards their relationship. If only there was someone I could act like this with, well, except for this villainous game...
"I love you!" Rai said, and apparently the word got to Clare a little, but she quickly composed herself.
"Huh?"
Rai stood up and pulled Clare towards her, holding her hands.
"I love you, Lady Clare," Rai said.
"W-what?! What kind of dirty talk are you seeing?!" Clare said in shock, but instead of disgust, there was a faint blush on her face, but Rai didn't notice.
"What are you talking about? I just want to confess my love to you!" Rai said, to which I saw Clare sigh...
"Rai..." Clare said, and I realized she'd stopped playing around.
"Yes, Lady Clare?" Rai asked, but she didn't expect Clare to pull her close and kiss her on the lips.
Rae.exe doesn't respond! I saw her world suddenly turn upside down, and she simply froze while Clare kissed her, in front of everyone. Everyone else simply stared in shock at the two girls kissing, as if it were normal.
I knew Clare wouldn't be able to play the villain for long, as she missed Rae so much.
"Ahem..." I cleared my throat, which immediately caught Clare's attention, who looked at me.
"Clare, aside from the whole class staring at you... Rae seems to have fainted," I said, walking up to them and waving my hand in front of Rae's eyes, which, of course, didn't get a reaction.
"Oops," Clare said, blushing, but then scooped Rae up in her arms princess-style and carried her out. I merely rolled my eyes at her antics, briefly listening to the whispers of various teenagers.
Many said they now understood why their marriage proposals had been rejected, others said they were cute, particularly two of Clare's close friends, who were generally aware of her preferences. Of course, there were those who found them disgusting, but they were a minority.
I also noticed Misha, the white-haired girl, gathering her things and following Rae, whom she already had many questions for.
"Stop! Where are you taking Rae!" Misha shouted in the hallway.
Clare turned and smiled tenderly.
"I want to take her to the infirmary," Clare said.
"Then I'll come with you!" Misha declared, to which Clare simply nodded.
She quickly caught up with us and followed us, occasionally glancing at me, wondering who I was.
"You can ask your question," I said, feeling a little awkward under her intense attention.
"Who are you? I mean, you're not wearing the academy uniform, and you're carrying a weapon..." she said, looking at my katana.
"You can consider me Clare's bodyguard," I said.
She didn't ask me any more questions, but simply walked beside me in silence.
Pretty soon we reached the empty nurse's office, and Clare laid Rae down on the bed and came over to me, while Misha sat next to Rae, waiting for her to wake up.
"So what happened to your villainous act?" I asked, grinning.
"Well... I didn't realize how much I missed her, so I figured it was for the best," Clare said, and I simply smiled.
A few minutes later, Rae began to wake up and immediately saw Misha sitting next to her.
"Misha? You won't believe it! I had a dream where Lady Clare kissed me," Rae said excitedly.
"Rae... it wasn't a dream," Misha said, looking at us. Rae followed Misha's gaze and saw Clare, causing her blush to return and she jumped out of bed, running toward us.
"Lady Clare, is it true, you..." but before she could finish, Clare pulled her in for another kiss.
Clare, do you want her dead? Look, she's already completely red!
"Yes, indeed!" Clare said, smirking as she broke the kiss.
"Rae Taylor, do you want to be my maid?" Clare asked, to which Rae nodded.
"Ahem..." Misha cleared his throat, causing us to look at her.
"How can you do that?! You're both girls! Don't you have any shame?!" she exclaimed.
"I've always liked girls!" I said back, even though I knew she wasn't talking to me.
"Me too!" added Rae.
"I used to be attracted to guys, but then I realized I like girls much more..." said Clare.
"Are there really that many lesbians at this academy?" Misha said, almost quietly.
"Don't worry, Misha, you'll have your own blonde girlfriend in the future," said Clare, smirking.
"WHAT!? THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN!" she screamed.
"Even if it's your dear Yu?" asked Clare.
"But Yu is a boy!" Clare countered.
"Poor Misha... Yu was born a girl..."
"I don't believe you, he clearly looks like a boy!" said Misha.
"Well, he contracted a sex-reassignment disorder as a child, which is why he became a boy, but he's looking for a way to change everything back, even if it angers her mother," said Clare.
"..." Misha simply fell silent.
"Well, even though he wants to go back to being a girl, it doesn't change how he/she feels about you," Clare said, to which Misha blushed.
"Anyway, I suggest we go back, since class starts soon," Clare added, taking Rae's hand. She blushed but didn't mind.
I just shook my head and followed them, and Misha, having come to his senses, chased after us.
