Chapter 17 - The Call of the Wild

Eila was beyond ecstatic. Leonard's mark on her neck burned, not with pain, but with an undeniable satisfaction that coursed through her veins, binding her to him in a way that felt right.

Sera was purring, content yet restless. It wasn't enough. Her instincts told her that she belonged to all three of them. Not just Leonard.

But tonight wasn't the night.

Eila was melting into Leonard's embrace, her body pliant against him, overwhelmed by the storm of emotions and sensations.

Her legs buckled, unable to hold her weight, and before she could collapse, Lukas and Zois moved.

Their hands brushed against her arms as they caught her, supporting her just as Leonard did.

Leonard's growl shook the night air, his body tensing with violent possessiveness. His wolf was on edge, enraged at their closeness.

"Back away from her."

His voice was low, dangerous, laced with the raw power of an Alpha who had just claimed his mate.

Zois and Lukas stood their ground. They weren't submissive wolves. They were born to rule.

Their steel-grey eyes burned into Leonard's icy blue ones, neither willing to back down.

"Enough."

Eila's voice, though soft, cut through the thick tension. Her gaze met Leonard's, pleading but firm.

"I need to run."

He frowned, but she continued.

"I need to clear my head. To stop myself before I… before I do something I'll regret."

She was already losing control. If she stayed, she might beg them for something she wasn't ready for yet.

Leonard exhaled sharply before nodding. "Fine."

The twins shared a look and smirked. They didn't need words to communicate. They had already decided. They would run with her. They would chase her. A challenge, a promise of a hunt.

Eila took a breath and let go.

Sera burst forth, her white fur glowing under the full moon, as she leapt into the forest.

Behind her, two enormous wolves followed, their silver-grey coats shimmering. They exuded dominance, power, and untamed strength.

And then, a shadow—darker than the night itself—a beast of pure black, massive and formidable.

Zade.

Leonard's wolf. They ran faster, the wind rushing past, the scents of the forest filling their senses. It was exhilarating, Freeing.

For hours, they played, chasing, teasing, and testing limits. Then, they reached a clearing. A field of wildflowers bathed in silver light.

Sera collapsed onto the soft grass, stretching lazily. The others followed, their powerful forms relaxing but their eyes never left her.

There was something different now. The air had changed. It became heavy and charged.

Lust flickered in their gazes.

Sera felt it. Felt their hunger. Their need. She didn't move. She simply exposed her neck, submitting, inviting.

Come, Take me. Claim me.

The twins were the first to move. Their massive forms approached, their snouts brushing against her, nuzzling, scenting, marking her with their own.

Zois smelled of wildflowers and fresh grass, soothing yet intoxicating. Lukas was different. Tangerine and wood, sharp and thrilling.

Not like Leonard's deep, dark scent of leather and pine. It was overwhelming. Eila's control snapped.

She shifted back, standing before them bare and unguarded. For a moment, they were still.

Then—

They shifted too.

Leonard stepped forward, his gaze dark and unreadable. Each of them drew closer, slowly, deliberately, until she was caged in.

The hunt was over. But the real game was just beginning.
