Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: "Things to do in your free time with my partner."

"Origami?"

Minho stood there, momentarily stunned, as he tried to wrap his head around Seo-Jun's unexpected words. "ACTIVITY TO DO TOGETHER?! Is he crazy?!" he thought, a mix of disbelief and confusion swirling in his mind. But as he considered the other suggestion Seo-Jun had thrown out, he felt his jaw tighten in resignation. "Well, at least it's better than sex... I am definitely choosing the other activity." he concluded, trying to shake off the initial shock.

He instinctively reached back to touch his sore muscles, a reminder of the previous night's sex. "My back still hurts." he mused, feeling a twinge of discomfort. Then, a wave of uncertainty washed over him. "But what should we do? I don't know him that well to offer something he'd find enjoyable." His thoughts drifted to his usual free time, which revolved around intense workouts. "But given that he's coming home from work, he'll probably be too exhausted for working out." he realised, feeling the weight of the decision.

As he started walking again, his mind raced with possibilities. "He might actually be in a good mood since he suggested doing something different…" he thought, surprised by the notion. It was a stark contrast to his previous assumptions about Seo-Jun, who always seemed to carry a cloud of seriousness around him. Shaking his head to dispel his thoughts, Minho's gaze landed on a quaint little toy shop. A smirk crept onto his face as a playful idea took root. "Should I buy him a toy as an early birthday gift?" he chuckled softly to himself, the thought lightening his mood. With a giggle escaping his lips, he shook his head again, pulling out his phone to look up activities that might be fun for them to do together.

But the moment he hit the bottom and started tapping what he was searching for, he stopped. He then said, confused, "How should I even write it? 'Things to do in your free time'? I don't usually do such things." As he started to write "Things to do in your free time—" the first suggestion that popped up in the search box was "Things to do in your free time with my partner." This made Minho blush slightly as he looked aside, embarrassed, and clicked on it.

A whole list of activities popped up, and the first suggestion read "Board games". Minho looked irritated and said, "I am not a fan of board games, and I am pretty sure that the punk has never played one." He quickly scrolled down to the next suggestion, which was "Picnic," but he shook his head and moved on again. The next option was "Cooking", and he stared at it with a stone face, muttering, "I cook for him every day. I need a break from this."

As he continued to scroll down, frustration began to build because nothing seemed interesting. Just then, a strange and unusual activity caught his eye, making his eyes widen and his head tilt slightly. "Origami? That... sounds fun," he said, a smile creeping onto his face. Feeling a spark of excitement, he quickly shoved his phone into his pocket and started walking fast toward the bookshop that was just a few metres away.

Once inside the bookshop, he eagerly grabbed all the necessary supplies for origami: colourful papers, scissors, and glue. As he walked out of the store, a sense of pride washed over him for coming up with such a creative and enjoyable idea. He felt a thrill of anticipation at the thought of trying something new, imagining how much fun it would be to create beautiful shapes and figures.

He quickly went to Seo-Jun's house, excitement bubbling inside him as he placed the bag filled with origami supplies on the kitchen counter. He then began to whip up a light snack, carefully selecting items that would pair perfectly with their creative activity. He envisioned the two of them sitting together, folding colourful paper into intricate shapes while enjoying the treats he had prepared. With each passing moment, he felt a growing anticipation, leaving all of his earlier frustration aside, eager to break free from the monotony of his usual routine.

Just as he was about to finish making the snack, the front door creaked open, and Seo-Jun walked in, looking slightly worn out from the day. He casually removed his suit jacket, unbuttoned the first button of his shirt, and sank into the couch with a tired sigh, not bothering to acknowledge Minho's presence. Minho's heart raced at the sight of him, and he quickly grabbed the bag with the supplies, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he marched over to Seo-Jun.

Standing confidently in front of Seo-Jun, Minho set the bag down on the small coffee table that separated them, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "I came up with an activity to do!" he declared, his voice ringing with excitement. Seo-Jun, however, raised an eyebrow, a hint of confusion and annoyance flickering across his face. "What is this now?" he asked in a low voice, clearly not expecting this interruption to his quiet evening. Minho felt a twinge of frustration as Seo-Jun sighed, realising he hadn't chosen the second option Seo-Jun had suggested earlier. But as he glanced at Minho's eager expression, he couldn't help but smirk and say, "I thought you would choose the second option." knowing that deep down, they were going to do the second thing tonight regardless of Minho's choice.

Minho crossed his arms tightly, irritation bubbling up as he firmly declared, "No. We are not doing that. Instead..." His eyes sparkled with enthusiasm again as he reached for a stack of papers and a pair of scissors. "We will be making origami!" he announced proudly, his voice filled with excitement.

Seo-Jun raised his eyebrows again, a mix of curiosity and disbelief crossing his face. "Origami?" he echoed, clearly intrigued but skeptical.

Minho's smile widened as he nodded vigorously. "Yes! It will be pretty fun! I've prepared everything!" He began to sift through the assortment of supplies he had brought, showcasing the vibrant papers and tools. "I even got glu—" But before he could finish his sentence, Seo-Jun smirked, resting his head on his hand, and teased, "Do you even know how to make one?" His giggle filled the room, and Minho felt a pang of doubt creeping in.

Minho froze for a moment, the realisation washing over him like a cold wave. He had never actually made origami before. "I... didn't plan it this far..." he thought, momentarily disheartened. But then, shaking his head vigorously, he regained his composure and said sharply, "No, I haven't. But this is not stopping me from trying to learn how to make one! I'll just watch some clips on the internet and get the hang of it eventually!"

Seo-Jun's smirk widened, surprise flickering in his eyes at Minho's unexpected determination. However, he quickly masked it, lying back on the couch, grabbing his phone with an air of indifference. "I don't want to do that. It sounds boring." he said dismissively, scrolling through his phone as if Minho's enthusiasm was nothing more than a passing whim.

Minho felt his frustration boil over. "This punk! He'll leave me to do it all alone just like that?! He wanted me to choose what to do in the first place!" With irritation bubbling in his chest, he shot back, "Fine! Suit yourself. I will give it a go!" His resolve solidified, Minho was determined to prove that he could tackle this challenge, regardless of Seo-Jun's lack of interest.

He settled onto the ground, his back pressed against the couch as he faced the table, determined to conquer the art of origami. The paper lay before him, crisp and waiting for his skilled hands, but as he attempted the first fold, frustration began to seep in. Seo-Jun, seated behind him, had a clear view of Minho's concentrated expression, and he couldn't help but steal glances every now and then, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.

Twenty minutes passed, filled with the sounds of paper crumpling and Minho's muttered curses. "Come on!" he snapped each time a fold went awry, his irritation growing. The more he struggled, the more his frustration mounted, until finally, with an exasperated shout, he threw the paper onto the table. "Ah! This is so annoying! Why can't I make it right?! And when am I supposed to put the glue?!" The outburst echoed in the room, and Seo-Jun stifled a giggle, shaking his head as he thought, "Dumbass."

Yet, despite the chaos, there was something endearing about Minho's determination. Seo-Jun watched as Minho picked the paper back up, his resolve unshaken. A smirk spread across Seo-Jun's face as he thought, "Bellicose, aren't you?". Leaning forward, he gently took hold of Minho's hands from behind, their fingers intertwining as he brought his head close, his voice low and steady. "You are putting too much pressure on the paper. You should be more gentle." His hands guided Minho's movements, showing him the right technique while maintaining a serious demeanour, refusing to meet Minho's gaze directly.

Minho was still reeling from the unexpected warmth of Seo-Jun's hands around his. The sudden contact sent a rush of heat to his cheeks, and he found himself unable to look away from Seo-Jun's face, captivated by the way the afternoon light highlighted his features. "He... is doing a pretty good job." Minho thought, watching Seo-Jun fold the paper with a deftness that only added to his growing admiration. But then a flicker of irritation washed over him as he realised, "So, he can be gentle after all, ha."

As Seo-Jun caught sight of Minho's flushed expression, a playful smirk crept onto his lips. "You are not good at hiding your blush." he teased, his voice light and teasing. The comment made Minho's heart race even faster, and he felt a mix of embarrassment and amusement spreading inside him. Seo-Jun then released Minho's hands, the warmth of their connection fading, and casually lay back down, grabbing his phone as if nothing had happened. The contrast between Seo-Jun's nonchalant demeanour and Minho's flustered state only deepened the tension in the air, leaving Minho to grapple with the unexpected feelings stirring within him.

Minho, still processing the situation, suddenly stood up, his voice echoing in the quiet room as he shouted, "I WASN'T BLUSHING! I was just admiring how good the origami started to look!" Despite his protest, a faint blush crept onto his cheeks, which he couldn't quite conceal as he glanced over at Seo-Jun. To his frustration, Seo-Jun seemed completely absorbed in his own world, not paying him any attention at all.

As Minho's gaze shifted back to the table, he noticed the intricate origami that Seo-Jun had completed. His eyes widened in shock, disbelief washing over him. "WHAT?! HOW DID YOU... How did you do it so fast?! I have been trying to make it for the past 20 minutes! And you did it for 5!" His voice was filled with a mix of admiration and frustration, the urgency of his words finally breaking through Seo-Jun's indifference.

Seo-Jun, finally looking up, wore an annoyed expression. "I told you. You have been too harsh on the paper. I saw how they did it in that video you were watching and then spotted your mistake. I just helped you do it right. Stop nagging now, you're giving me a headache." He said this while scrolling through his phone, his irritation palpable. Minho felt a flash of anger at Seo-Jun's dismissive words, but he couldn't shake the warmth creeping back into his cheeks as he thought, "So, he was watching me make it, ha. And then I am the pathetic one." With a frustrated roll of his eyes, he plopped back down onto the ground, feeling a mix of embarrassment and annoyance swirling inside him as he grappled with the reality of the situation.

After a few minutes of Minho observing the cat origami they had meticulously crafted, he was completely absorbed in its details, oblivious to Seo-Jun's dwindling patience. With a sudden burst of energy, Seo-Jun put his phone down and, with one strong hand, yanked Minho onto the couch, positioning himself right on top of him. Minho's heart raced, his eyes wide with shock as he tried to process the unexpected closeness. Before he could utter a word or react, Seo-Jun leaned in, an evil smirk playing on his lips, and said, "Anyway, let's leave this stupid boring stuff aside..."

In one swift motion, Seo-Jun turned Minho around, forcing him to face the couch, leaving Minho in a state of disbelief. The fabric of the couch felt cool against his cheek, and he could hardly comprehend what was happening. "Let's move on to the actual enjoyable part of the night." Seo-Jun declared, his smirk still firmly in place as he began to undress Minho from behind, starting with putting Minho's pants down just enough to uncover his ass. Minho, still caught off guard, felt confused as he started trying to let go of Seo-Jun's hard grip.
