In the ward on the other side.
Christopher slowly opened his eyes and what came into view was a bright incandescent light bulb. The light was a little dazzling. He subconsciously reached out to block out the light, but he found that his arm was fixed and he could not move.
"Chris, are you awake?" A soft female voice floated into his ear.
He looked in the direction of the voice and saw Sophie's faintly discernible face. She seemed slightly excited.
"Chris, are you thirsty? I'll give you some water."
With that, she turned around and went to the water dispenser to get some water then hand it to him.
Christopher did not reach out to take it. Instead, he stared blankly at the ceiling, as if he was thinking about something.
Seeing this, Sophie put down the cup of water.
"Chris, you have been in a coma for three days and three nights."
"Three days and three nights?" Only then did Christopher frown and thought to himself, "I have been in a coma for so long?"
