Alpha approached the statue.
His gaze wasn't on it it was fixed on the walls.
There were engravings and symbols: spiraling circles, intersecting lines, and strange shapes.
He stretched out his hand and touched one of the symbols. He felt the roughness of the stone but nothing happened. No visions. No memories.
He whispered to himself,
"It's like it's trying to say something… but it's a language I can't understand."
He stood still, staring silently at the wall.
Suddenly, a light dizziness struck him.
His head began to spin, as if something invisible was pressing against his skull.
He staggered a step back, swaying slightly, trying to regain his balance then reached out his right hand to lean against the nearby wall.
But…
His hand went through the wall.
His fingers slipped into a hidden cavity inside the stone, as if the wall was not entirely solid.
"Huh?" he murmured in surprise, then pressed inward reflexively.
