Touka Kirishima ran quickly, immediately out of the street outside the Anteiku coffee shop. Ryuuji followed her all the way out of the street outside Anteiku.
Ryuuji didn't rush to call out to Touka Kirishima. Instead, he followed behind her. Only when Touka Kirishima grew tired and squatted down outside a park did Ryuuji walk up to her and ask, "Finally tired from running, huh?"
Touka Kirishima shot Ryuuji a glare and then, still resentful, said to him, "Why are you following me?!"
"I was afraid you'd do something foolish!" Ryuuji replied.
"It's none of your business if I do something foolish!" Touka Kirishima's attitude clearly showed her displeasure with Ryuuji.
Because Ryuuji had not sided with Touka Kirishima when expressing his opinion, Touka Kirishima began to reject him.
"I know you want to avenge Madam Ryoko. I know you hate the CCG {Ghoul} investigators, but even if you get revenge, Madam Ryoko won't come back to life. And can you truly let go of the shackles in your heart?" Ryuuji crouched down, looking at Touka Kirishima, who was glaring at him, and said very seriously.
If Touka Kirishima's shackles would truly be completely released by the deaths of a few investigators, Ryuuji wouldn't mind taking action.

Hearing this, Touka Kirishima didn't get angry this time. Instead, she involuntarily leaned her face towards Ryuuji. Just as her lips were about to touch Ryuuji's, Touka Kirishima suddenly stopped and asked, "You promise?! No backing out!"
Ryuuji didn't respond. He proactively leaned in, and then Ryuuji and Touka Kirishima shared a passionate kiss.
When Ryuuji and Touka Kirishima returned to the Anteiku coffee shop, everyone else had already left. As Ryuuji and Touka Kirishima were about to head to their respective rooms to rest, Touka Kirishima called out to Ryuuji just as she was about to enter her room: "Ryuuji!"
Hearing this, Ryuuji stopped and turned to look at Touka Kirishima, asking, "What is it?"
"Even if you have to go against the whole world, you must stand by my side, understand!?" Touka Kirishima said to Ryuuji.
"Don't worry!" Ryuuji smiled at Touka Kirishima and replied.
Satisfied with his answer, Touka Kirishima pushed open her room door and entered with a slight smile.
The next day
Ryuuji returned to work. Kaneki Ken still hadn't come to Anteiku. It was estimated that he hadn't recovered from the incident with Ryoko, so Kousen Yoshimura arranged for Kaneki Ken to rest at home for a while.
Mr. Fueguchi also seemed to have been psychologically comforted by Kousen Yoshimura. He stayed quietly on the second floor of Anteiku, accompanying his daughter Hinami. It appeared he had temporarily suppressed his desire for revenge.
