Several decades ago, Yu Luomian's father—the former patriarch of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan—had obtained his ninth soul ring by hunting down a nearly 100,000-year-old Jadeite Sky Dragon.
Half a year ago, the elders of the clan had also stolen two 800-year-old juvenile Jadeite Sky Dragons from this same territory to help Yu Tianxin and Yu Tianheng obtain their second soul skills.
Because of this, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan was extremely familiar with this group of dragons—they knew them inside and out.
Now, the leader of this Jadeite Sky Dragon group had a cultivation of around 60,000 years—just right to serve as Yu Luomian's eighth soul ring.
As the group neared the Jadeite Sky Dragons' territory, Yu Luomian halted and said to the others, "We're now roughly within the dragons' territory. To avoid being swarmed, we'll lure their leader out here."
With that, Yu Luomian looked toward Dugu Bo and said, "Jadeite Sky Dragons have a very strong territorial instinct. Any soul master that enters their domain will be attacked. As long as Lord Dugu releases your aura, their leader will definitely sense the threat and come to drive you out."
Dugu Bo asked with a frown, "If I release my aura and it draws out the entire group, what then?"
Yu Luomian smiled. "These dragons may be fierce, but they are highly protective of their kin. When they sense a Titled Douluo's presence, only the leader will come—no weaker dragons will be risked."
Dugu Bo nodded and lightly released his Titled Douluo aura.
The moment his aura appeared, the beasts of the forest scattered, birds took flight, and the once-noisy forest fell into silence.
But the silence didn't last long. From the distant skies, a massive jade-green dragon approached.
It was over twenty or thirty meters long, surrounded by arcs of green electricity. Its roar echoed for miles, shaking the trees around them.
Though the Jadeite Sky Dragons were large carnivorous flyers, their limbs weren't particularly strong. Their carapace stored electrical energy which, once charged, could be used to enhance their strength. They typically used their electrified wings for combat.
They often dove from above, striking prey with electrified wing claws for devastating impact.
As the dragon neared, its presence grew even more terrifying. Yu Luomian and Ah Zhu instinctively retreated.
In contrast, Dugu Bo remained calm, even taking two steps forward as if on a leisurely walk.
The dragon closed in rapidly—within seconds, it was only about a hundred meters away. At its speed, it could strike Dugu Bo with its charged wing claws in the next second.
At that moment, Dugu Bo moved. He smiled slightly and calmly said, "Eighth Soul Skill: Time Freeze."
With those words, the wind stilled, trees froze, and everything halted. Even the savage dragon leader hung motionless in mid-air.
At the same time, a droplet of pitch-black liquid began forming at Dugu Bo's fingertip—like morning dew, completely void of any soul power fluctuation.
Once it formed, he flicked it forward. The droplet instantly shot out and pierced straight through the Jadeite Sky Dragon leader.
In the next moment, the world resumed motion. The dragon crashed into a massive tree, and though its body appeared intact, a large, bucket-sized hole had been blown through its chest.
Seeing this, the dragonified Yu Luomian wasted no time. He darted forward and drove his dragon claw straight into the dragon's eye socket.
As if sensing the presence of a kindred spirit, the dying dragon's eyes snapped open. It let out a mournful, final cry—but before it could move, Yu Luomian plunged his claw into its eye.
And thus, the Jadeite Sky Dragon leader died, filled with unwillingness.
Moments later, a deep black soul ring rose from its body.
Simultaneously, both Yu Luomian and Dugu Bo sensed the presence of a soul bone on the dragon's corpse.
But Yu Luomian didn't rush to absorb the soul ring. Instead, he pulled out a crystal orb from his back and smiled at Dugu Bo. "Lord Dugu, I've already informed my elder brother about the soul bone. Let's wait for him to decide who it should go to."
Hearing this, Dugu Bo snorted. "The way you two guard against me is insulting. Thunder Lord has always been generous with soul bones—why would I covet a single one?"
With that, he turned away, flicking his sleeve and walking off to the side.
Though Dugu Bo had an eccentric nature, he was deeply principled and kept his promises.
After Tang San cured his poison, Dugu Bo had kept his word and gifted Tang San the Wishful Hundred Treasure Pouch and an entire garden of immortal herbs.
Even though Tang San kept the whole garden for himself without giving Dugu Bo a single herb, Dugu Bo still helped him fight the Spirit Hall and participated in the bloody battle at Jialing Pass.
Seeing Dugu Bo displeased, Yu Luomian quickly apologized with a smile. "Please don't be offended, Lord Dugu. I was being overly cautious—treating a noble man as a petty one."
Dugu Bo didn't respond. He simply snorted coldly and closed his eyes in silence.
Seeing this, Yu Luomian said no more. He sat down cross-legged and began quietly absorbing the soul ring.
Several hours later—
Yu Luomian opened his eyes. Dugu Bo was still resting, and the soul bone remained untouched on the dragon's body.
He sighed softly, removed the soul bone, and said, "Lord Dugu, we should return to the sect."
Dugu Bo didn't reply. He silently followed the group out of the Star Dou Forest.
A few days later, back at the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan.
Yu Yuanzhen looked at Yu Luomian, who wore a hesitant expression, and said, "I've heard about what happened with you and Dugu Bo. It's wise to be cautious—it's nothing to feel guilty about. Now tell me, what soul skill did you gain from this hunt?"
Hearing this, Yu Luomian relaxed and smiled. "Half a year ago, Tianxin and the others got a second soul skill from the Jadeite Sky Dragon called Lightning Flash Strike—a sudden burst that lets them dash forward and deal heavy damage. My soul skill is called Evil-Purging Lightning Flash. It's similar, but faster and hits harder."
Yu Yuanzhen nodded approvingly. "It's an excellent single-target offensive skill—with both burst and mobility."
Then he looked at the jade-green right arm bone on the table and laughed. "It seems the dragon my father hunted back then had close ties to this one—otherwise, that soul bone wouldn't have dropped so easily."
