Chapter 3 - Ice Land Paradise

Eira sat outside on her balcony watching a sunset. As she watched the bright hues of orange, purple and blue fade into black, she felt sleep creep onto her and soon after she fell asleep. For a long time, it was silent, and darkness was the only thing that filled Eira's mind. After a while, Eira's mind slowly opened. She caught a glimpse of sunlight hitting her face and felt a cold grainy texture on her back. She got up and rubbed her eyes then sat and looked into the distance. As she sat in a daze, Eira suddenly noticed the sunlight disappear. She looked up a saw a large pink Whale with purple hues splattered all over it. She leaped to her feet and notice that there were millions of similar whales seemingly swimming in air. Eira rubbed her eyes and felt her breathing getting slower and slower. Then she collapsed.

A while passed and Eira woke up once again. She let out a frustrated cry and sat for a while. Infront of her, she saw pink sand that was as cold as ice and ocean water that was colored in hues of green, purple, blue and pink. For a moment Eira was mesmerized by the beauty of her surroundings. Then she heard a faint sound of people talking. She grabbed a pair of red slippers besides her, wiped them and put them on her feet. Then she dusted of her white sun dress and tied her large afro into a long braid that fell onto her lower back, then Eira began to walk toward the distance sound of the crowd. Eira walked for a long time until she reached a large purple and pink building that sat next to a busy beach with crystal green water. As she gazed at the building, a child bumped into her and run off. Eira snapped back to reality and began to chase after the child asking her to stop. Eira chased the child until she reached a small pink bridge that seemed to stretch out for miles. She slowly walked up the pink stairs and then began walking on the bridge. Eira walked for what felt like two hours before she reached a second beach where people sat and enjoyed their time in the sun. Eira approached a waiter standing beside a small beach house and asked him where she was. The waiter smiled at her, offered her a drink then left when she didn't respond. Feeling defeated Eira plopped onto the pink sand before quickly jumping up because of how cold the sand was. Eira scratched her head a just stared into the distance. As she gazed at the water, she noticed the sun. Except it wasn't a sun. It was also the moon. The moon and sun had become one. Half of the new thin was a sun and the other half was a moon. It looked beautiful. As she stared at the odd thing she felt something grab her hand. Eira looked down to see a child pulling her hand. the child smiled at her, and she smiled back at the little girl. then the girl pointed at her hair. Eira touched her hair then brough her ponytail to her side. Her once black hair was now a vibrant white and had a slight cold feel to it. She quicky undid her braid a run towards the ocean water. Eira quickly dropped to her knees and began to wash her hair. as she washed her hair, the different hues in the ocean began to stain her white hair and it turned a deep-sea green color. Eira quickly rose to her feet, threw her head back and sighed. She stumbled through the cold, pink sand and sat on a whit beach chair then placed her cheek on her hand. As she sat in silence, she heard a loud joyful shout ringing behind her. Eira quickly turned her head a saw a man flying out of a tall purple and blue building. The man splashed into the water and when he came up his skin was a deep green. Eira looked at the man, then at the white bench she was sitting on. she quickly knelt beside the bench and placed a strand of hair onto the bench. Her hair then began to turn a pale white. Eira jumped in excitement then noticed a glimmer of light coming from the building the man had just shot out of. Eira squinted her eyes so that she could see what was in the building. Eira made her way to the building and tried looking for the entrance in the building. Eira walked around the building and found a small opening in the building. She squeezed her way through the small opening. and made her way inside the building. When she finally got inside the building, Eira looked Infront of her and say a pastel clear blue elevator. Eira got in and pressed a button with an arrow facing upwards. The elevator turned upside down, but Eira was somehow left standing on the bottom which was now the roof. As the elevator went up, Eira passed through several strange floors. One of these floors had a whole underwater view of the clear green ocean that she had grown used to. It was quite beautiful. The elevator continued upward as though it would never stop. However, then, all of a sudden, the elevator abruptly stopped at the top floor and began to fill with a bright clear green hue of water. Eira quickly began tapping the open button, and when the door finally opened, she was washed out with all the water. She got off the floor and squeezed her clothes attempting to dry them, but it was no use. She walked to a window which seemed to be the only thing in the room in an attempt to dry herself off. However, the moment she stepped next to the window, the floor below her gave way and she began to fall toward the beautiful green ocean. As she fell, she felt her eyes get heavier. Her eyes then shut completely then she hit the water and felt her body get cold. Then when she opened her eyes again, Eira was outside on her balcony and the sky was now dark. She got off the groung, slipped into her bed and went to sleep.
