[Leonard]
For a few minutes, I did not see what was inside the luggage after it was opened because I could not see it, and I could not see it because my eyes were close.
I listened, I listen very carefully for any sign of distress from any of my men but there was none. Maybe their training prevented them from showing it or maybe I was too scared to actually listen. With my eyes close, I felt their stares. Their gaze was fixed on me now, and I knew I had to open my eyes. There was no time to think about what my men would think of me. They can call me weak but it's my kid we are talking about.
Slowly, almost reluctantly, I peeled my eyes opened, and instead of looking down at the luggage, I settled my gaze on the faces of my men for any sign or clue, anything. But there was nothing there. None of their expression was enough clue to know what to expect.
