Chapter 77 - Ritualistic Magic

"In exactly a week, The Fort Fjord Raid will occur," said Yvette.

"Yes, I know," replied Danso puzzled as to why Yvette called him to the hut.

"Sorcery in the Land covered by the Aurora is useless, therefore you have to learn Ritualistic Magic," said Yvette.

Danso knew about this predicament and he asked Yvette to teach him Ritualistic Magic a few days ago himself. He was grateful that Yvette was willing to teach him since he did not know where to start.

Yvette got up and went to a cupboard and went rummaging through the ancient antiques she had. The clattering noise of pots and jewellery created an annoying noise but Danso just ignored his inner thoughts and sat quietly.

After a few minutes, Yvette returned with a sack that seemed heavy for an old lady to lift. However, Yvette was no ordinary old lady and she seemed as if she was lifting air.

Danso peeked inside the brown sack as he saw multiple colorless, transparent crystal orbs. They were small, medium, and large sizes as Yvette looked at him with gleaming eyes.

"She must have a passion for these," thought Danso smiling to himself as he realised he got a good tutor.

"As you know there are ten stages of Ritualistic Magic and the 0th stage which only a legendary Yeti had ever reached. We will forget the 0th stage exists and we will only focus on making you first reach the 10th stage," said Yvette.

Danso nodded in agreement as he played with the crystal orbs. They were silky smooth with no rough edges. If they had sold these in the Black Market they would easily be millionaires by now. Yvette stood up and tapped the bottom of the stick on the ground as her Pink Orb resonated with the other orbs making them get a tint of light pink. She chanted a few words and then tapped the stick on the ground yet again turning all the orbs back to their transparent colorless selves.

"What happened?" asked Danso trying to grasp all the knowledge he can from Yvette.

"I activated the orbs. After a few years of them resting they need a little spark to reactivate their characteristics again. It's like an old engine needing a spark to work again," explained Yvette in a simple and concise way.

Yvette pointed to the orbs and instructed Danso to pick one as the Orb he will use for Ritualistic Magic. Danso pondered on which one to choose.

If it was too large it would be a mess to carry it around in his pocket. Yet if it was too small it would be hard to concentrate and he might lose it. Therefore he chose a medium sized orb that seemed to be the right fit for his hand and pocket.

Danso picked it up and played catch with it by himself to test out his grip and if it really was the best match for him.

"I am happy with this one," said Danso.

Yvette was unbothered about his choice and chose to continue the Activation Ritual for Danso. Yvette asked Danso to sit on the floor and he sat formally on his knees like a true samurai. He took a deep breath as Danso held the orb close to his heart.

A bright light appeared from the orb and it sent Danso repelling and crashing into the couch behind him. He groaned in pain as Yvette laughed at the scene.

"Did you know this was going to happen?" asked Danso.

"Yes," said Yvette, laughing uncontrollably.

The orb started to change color rapidly. It was red then it was black then it became transparent again then finally changed color permanently to pure white. It was as if clouds were trapped in the orb.

"What does this mean?" asked Danso as he held the orb in his hand.

Yvette opened a book that had all the colors and their affinity of Ritualistic Magic. It was a sacred book made with Yeti fur and branches of the tallest trees in the Frozen Everglades. Yvette searched the book, skimming, scanning, and reading through the pages and lines of text that Danso could not comprehend. Eventually she sighed and closed the book.

"Your affinity is with Air," said Yvette.

"Air? But my Sword Art is the Sword Art of the Dragon that is closer to the Affinity of Fire right?" Danso asked, puzzled.

"Yes…Yet, the orb chose your affinity as Wind or Air," said Yvette.

Danso chose not to question it any further since there would be no point and instead decided to be happy with what he received. He was now officially a Stage 10 Ritualistic Magic User.

At the Hospital at Rein.

"So this was what all of you have been up to?" asked Ozamu as he scolded the DMMS members as they sat on the couches.

The DMMS members were silent to make sure not to provoke Ozamu anymore. He had a reason to be angry too, if something happened to them it would be because he did not take care of them. It was a burden he could not handle.

Tensei had told about his Crimson Eclipse encounter in the Lustrous Forest and told about him finally becoming a Bishop, while Nicole had introduced herself to Ozamu and quickly became a favorite in his eyes, and Natsuki explained their encounter with the Crimson Eclipse in the Laxeau Plateau Plains.

"The First Ninjaro Raid must have only been the beginning…" said Ozamu.

"If we want to stand any chance we must unseal Chiro," advised Emily.

Nicole thought for a minute on how they could unseal Chiro Zanami, since his mere presence would even the tide of the fight instantly. Then a light bulb in her head flicked on as she got an idea.

"An Anti-Sorcery Key…" said Nicole.

"Like one in a Black Market!" exclaimed Ozamu.

"However, didn't the Black Market end already?" questioned Natsuki.

"Yes…But I saw Danso in the Black Market with Xeno before he got betrayed…" said Nicole.

After revealing the details of the events that occurred in the Black Market to the DMMS and Ozamu, Ozamu was glad to hear nothing had happened to Danso and that he was in a good condition. Ozamu pondered on the dilemma for a minute. Even if they had an Anti-Sorcery Key they needed to find the location of the Alkanium Soul Beast Cage in the first place.

"That won't be a problem," said Emily bluntly.

"You have a way?" asked Ozamu.

Emily nodded and opened her Playbox and it covered the entirety of Ninjaro. With her Third Stage Sorcery it was now easy for her to do such a feat with efficiency and less soul energy.

All she needed to do is to pick up a signal with the remnants of Chiro Zanami's soul energy and then follow the obvious trail and locate the cage. After searching for five minutes Emily had picked up a signal in the deepest part of Ninjaro's twin river on the border of Lukia.

"Let's go unseal our leader," said Emily as she opened her eyes with a newfound fire.

In the Seventh Dimension.

The Castle of the Gods was the main structure in the Seventh Dimension. It was forged from the steels from the Eight Dimension and all the Gods occasionally met here when it was necessary. The castle was beautifully constructed and it was a sharp contrast to the ruins of the realm outside the dimension. Not all gods were as holy as they look.

"Why do you need to bother yourself with matters from the Fourth Dimension?" asked the God of Souls to the God of the Sages

He sat on a transparent throne with a green crown and green clothes that seemed as if they were forged from the universe and were sewed together by souls themselves. He had green hair with green eyes with a pointy spear.

"That dimension is in the Equilibrium, did you forget?" asked the God of Sages.

"How does that matter? The Holy War of Outer Deities and Gods ended," stated the God of Souls.

The Goddess of Stars entered the conversation with her silky dress that covered her face and body with a color of black that seemed identical to the empty night sky with dots of white that represented stars. She had a crown that seemed as if it was forged from the moon itself. She also had silky black hair that reached to her shoulders.

"It's because of Xu isn't it?" asked the Goddess of Stars.

"Xu? Is he alive?" panicked the God of Souls.

"There have been sightings in the Fourth Dimension," said the Goddess of Stars calmly.

The Sword God and the God of Shadows entered the meeting. They walked symmetrically with each other, The Sword God's hands were made of swords almost as if they were part of his anatomy and he had red hair that looked as bright as the sun and his muscly body was as intimidating as his strength and power in the Seventh Dimensions. The Shadow God was skinny with a sly and deceitful smile on his face, with pitch black hair on the left and pure white hair on the right side of his head. He wore a pair of glasses that looked as if they were forged from the moon and the eyes carried the sense of moonlight to them.

"This is a mess you both created, may I add," said the God of Sages as he sighed deeply.

"Don't blame this on me and don't lump me in the same idiotic category as him," said the Sword God with a disgustful look.

"He should be lucky to be even in the same sentence as me," said the Shadow God with a witty look and sly laugh.

"That same human calls himself…The…it's too frightening to even think about it. The fact he says the 'Title' without any Cosmic Interventions…Is intriguing," said the Goddess of Stars.
